Promo DVDs

Post by karlsen »

Everybody here on this forum have a lot of the ordinary Disney movies that has been on sale in the stores.

But how many DVDs has been made that has not been sold comersialy in stores. I am not thinking about bootlegs but rather DVDs that has been made for staff or stores to promote something.

Well, I guess i'll be the first. I have those free DVD magazines from several years ago that came with a bunch of stuff on one side ("features") and a movie on the others. They changed their name like a million times, but I got the first 5 when it was free - InsideDVD, DVD4U, VOB, and every other name it was. The movies range from eh, okay to quite horrid...but it's still nice to have them.

I remember someone on Toonzone posted a picture of this promo dvd he obtained through an executive at CN of a Dexter's Lab compilation which looked really awesome and must be worth a fortune to collectors on Ebay. I wanted to buy it off him but he wouldn't sell the original.

No, not really anything. There was a Tarzan trailer on one of them, but I'm sure it's on the DVD too.

ok, what I had in mind was more exlusive stuff.

I know of people that has gotten work in progress prints of movies before they have been released. It was more that kind of stuff.
