I keep the original and buy the new one if I can afford to do so, although this depends on how much the new edition differs from the previous one.

It depends, so I answered only buy some PE/SE while keeping the old one. For example, the Tarzan re-release: I didn't bother to purchase the SE because the CE was better (imo).

But I like updated versions of movies if they add more and have better quality on the picture.

The only title I've rebought was Alice in Wonderland...because the extras were so good. I would have spent $20 for a DVD of just "One Hour in Wonderland"

I've got the LE of Little Mermaid but I still hold on to my original 1990 VHS, and I can't wait for the PE though!

I just got rid of my 1997 Cinderella VHS!

Some of the reissues just seem silly! Lilo & Stitch had plenty of great bonus features the first time around...so did Mary Poppins!

I think the Bedknobs single disc is great. I wouldn't upgreat to a 2 disc!

well, I always keep my old editions, and I usually buy new, but now I'm rethinking that because I don't think I want the new editions of Tarzan and The Emperors New groove... :?
