What I can't stand is when they put holes in the slipcover so that the barcode can be seen through it, but it's no big deal.
Since we're adding to "what I can't stand..."
What I can't stand is slipcovers in general. It's like condoms for DVDs: 99% protective because they cover the product and it helps against spreading STDs, 1% defective because they can tear and because they really don't protect as well as people think they do.
What I can't stand is FBI warnings in the beginning of DVDs. Hello, I bought the DVD! I doubt I'd wanna make a lesser copy of it on DVD again!
What I can't stand is going to Wal-Mart, Target, Sam's Club, etc., checking the new releases, and seeing endless piles of Pan and Scan DVDs, with the Widescreens tucked at the bottom or to the side.
What I can't stand is ignoramus fools who I can listen to when I'm standing next to them looking at DVDs and they go, "Geez, why do they have to have widescreen? Where's the fullscreen one?"
What I can't stand is new releases with ridiculous initial SRPs and the movie isn't worth it anyway.
What I can't stand is 2-disc editions that have very little bonus features. The Deer Hunter, for example, has a second disc with...get this...deleted scenes and a trailer.
What I can't stand is when a movie has craptastic bonus features that aren't worth watching anyway and they still can't find room for the damn trailer.
What I can't stand is when a movie is released barebones, followed by a spectacular 2-disc edition, only to be followed by a subpar standard edition again (Tarzan, TENG....)
What I can't stand is these new dual releases of standard and 2-disc edition, and many stores choose to carry the standard edition and it's a bitch to find the 2-disc edition half the time.
What I can't stand is TV shows on DVD that I can't afford because they put too steep a pricetag on them (STAR TREK)
What I can't stand is that lesser TV shows are getting released on DVD while other still are waiting for their first season (or one-season-wonder complete series) to appear (Come on, who's really gonna buy Titus, Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, or Trippin' the Rift? Where the hell is I Dream of Jeannie: Season One? Better yet, what about Jack & Bobby: The Complete Series! Or Square Pegs: The Complete Series!)
