After Country Bears and Haunted Mansion I thought I would suffer a violent gastrointestinal reaction to another attraction-based movie from Disney--ain't it supposed to go the other way 'round? But the first Pirates movie was the most fun I've had in years with a Disney live-action film, and the trailer looks good enough I'm not even fearful of sequel letdown. (As long as they don't decide to start redesigning the attractions...grrr.)

Escapay, you need to get rid of the quotes around the link in order for it to work. :)

Is there a Windows version of the teaser? (I don't have Quicktime on my laptop.)

You can download VideoLan, for Windows if you don't want to download a 20 MB Quicktime installer that only works in Windows 2000/XP.

Videolan Client (VLC) http://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/software/ ... -win32.exe (9.2 MB)

Compatible with Windows 98 to XP and probably Windows 95 as well. Plays most media formats.

If the above doesn't go into a download popup, the link is on the main page: http://www.videolan.org/

Other than that if you really want a Windows Media version, you really only have the streaming option, other wise it's not available.

Hehe, silly me. Thought I was quoting instead of url-ing.

Fixed it now.

It looks great! I knew it would. Pirates 1 is one of my favorite movies, and now I'm so excited! And everyone from the first movie (even Geoffrey Rush!) is back. Ted and Terry willl make the next two movies great (just listen to their commentary on Pirates 1, these guys know what they're doing). And, a lot of things are left to be explained, like the weird monster guy comming out of the water, and the huge octipus. Also, just solely the shot of Davey Jones assures me the Best Visual Effects Oscar belongs right here.

Well, "re-do" is such a strong word. They're just going to add a couple of things. It appears they are only going to put an anamitronic of Jack and Barbossa (and possibly Davey Jones) in the ride somewhere, there won't be any real drastic changes. And plus, this isn't the first time the ride has been changed. See the theme park board thread on this for more information.
