MinnieMe wrote:This must make me the first person to receive their gift!!!

Although, there was no card or note attached so I don't know who it was. The return address was for Alex in California, but there was no note saying what their name was on UD.

It was The Rescuers Down Under DVD :santa:

But whoever you are- Alex, thanks!! :D

I'm going to wait a little bit longer before I send out my gift. I'll send it out probably the Monday after Thanksgiving. You guys are sending it out too early. :P

It's still called Secret Santa, right? The "Secret" part hasn't been stricken, has it? Pals' anonymous package would suggest not, but some other posts here have me confused!

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that the sender was supposed to include a card w/ the gift revealing who they were.

No, no, no, you're right, MinnieMe, and you're in the clear, Dave. I was more referring to people saying "My person still hasn't posted their wishlist" and such, which when there are only a small handful of people who have that, reveals quite likely who their SS is. But then that assumes that the person who hasn't found time to post their wishlist is suddenly going to find time to read every post in this thread, not just the one their recipient made. That may not be the best assumption. Anyhow, no apologies needed. But I do think I'll start this a little later next year, so that it corresponds better with the holidays.

Yeah, well, with the holiday decor coming to stores a few days BEFORE Halloween this year, next year we'll see Secret Santa 2006 start right after Labor Day just to keep up with the world!

So is this the part where we start a "Post HERE when you receive!" thread or should we wait a bit more?

Not that I received or sent anything yet, just curious. BTW, I'm gonna send mine out next Monday, after the big Black Friday sales.

I got my gift today! Thanks so much Dave! I loved the card by the way! I had no idea that there were Secret Santa cards like that. What store did you find it at?

Yeah, I was hoping that the first person who received theirs would have done that, but it was kind of an anticlimactic "Santa Who?" moment. (No worries, Pals, and no, that wasn't an intentional reference to the Leslie Nielsen Disney telemovie*.) Now, we have two deliveries made. How exciting! :santa:

Either the next person who receives their Secret Santa present can start a new thread or the UD moderators can try to tactfully split one out of this. Either way, let the holiday merriment continue!
