English cast list(from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113824/ ):

Cary Elwes .... The Baron (voice: English version)
David Gallagher .... Seiji (voice: English version)
Harold Gould .... Nishi (voice: English version)
Abigail Mavity .... Nao (voice: English version)
Brittany Snow .... Shizuku Tsukishima (voice: English version)
Courtney Thorne-Smith .... Shiho (voice: English version)

That's the limit of the English voices I found on IMDB. But, from what I read on Nausicaa before they took their cast list down, Peter Boyle, who voiced Muta in Cat Returns, will play Moon/Muta in Whisper.

Its weird that the cat returns came out before whispers of the heart.

Whispers is a much better movie, its a different style, more like ghilibi's movies, the animation quality in cat is different to whispers, though its a good story in cat returns I liked whispers much more since it touches you more ;)

Huge Reminder to everyone! Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke will be on TCM tomorrow! :) Don't forget.

As for the future, I am most anticipating Only Yesterday, because I will be taping it.

Spirited Away is airing on Cartoon Network on Friday, February 3 at 7 PM Eastern.

Question for the people that watched My Neighbor Totoro and Whisper of the Heart last Thursday. How did the new English dubs for those 2 fims sound?

I saw the new dubbed version of Totoro on TCM.

And as I expected it turned out to be terrible terrible TERRIBLE!!!

It's obvious especially for this film, that Disney only cared about billing celebrities for the dub regardless of whether or not they would be good for the role. All the voice actors in the FOX dubbed really gave it their all with their characters. Elle Fanning to me turned out to be a better voice actress than Dakota Fanning. Dakota Fanning hardly had any emotion or enthusiasm in her voice acting and I think the lady who voiced Satsuki in the FOX dub did a much better job. I also despise whoever sung the songs in the Disney version cuz she was way off key. The lady who sung the songs in the FOX version stayed in tune with the original Japanese songs.

I also thought that the writing in the English Dub was terrible as well. There were moments where everything was too complex an unnecessary. The Fox version kept everything simple and fun. I'd rather get the bootleg of the FOX dubbing from China or something than buy the Disney version.

Darn it, I'll have to buy the Disney version in order to compare it to the Fox version. The only Ghibli rentals the video store in my town ever has is the 1st wave and Princess Mononoke on DVDs and Fox dub Totoro on VHS. But I just need to satisfy my curiosity somehow! :P

I guess Only Yesterday will be released with the dub of the newest Ghibli movie "Tales from Earthsea" early next year?

Yes, Only Yesterday will probably be released with Tales from Earthsea. Ocean Waves and a set of Ghibli shorts may also be released with Earthsea. But hopefully we don't have to wait that long for Only Yesterday.

Oh well at least the old Carl Macek dub for Totoro is on the JPN DVD. I only wish the old Carl Macek dub for Kiki was also on DVD. So we will have to wait until 2007 for Only Yesterday?

I really don't know what is going on at Disney with these movies. Disney has never aired these films on ABC or the Disney channel but they are letting Time Warner air them. :?

I finished watching Only Yesterday a few minutes ago. I didn't mind the subtitles at all, except for when I went up to go get food; I couldn't listen to what they were saying since I don't speak Japanese, so I had to keep looking at the screen.

It was a pretty good movie. I think I might like Whisper of the Heart more though.
