Is The Nightmare Before Christmas SE "Disney?"

Later today I'm going to try and hunt down a copy of The Nightmare Before Christmas SE DVD so that I can own it before Halloween and Christmas. Anyway, I know that even though it was going to be a Disney picture it was ported over to TouchStone because at the time they felt that it was a bit too creepy for their "kiddie" Walt Disney Pictures banner, but they don't seem too afraid to associate themselves with it now that ten years have gone by. The SE DVD and soundtrack are listed on Disney's site (the soundtrack appears alongside Bambi, Cinderella, etc.) and Jack Skellington takes over the Haunted Mansion on Halloween. I've also seen Disney Store sell Nightmare merchendise.

So - is the SE DVD officially considered a "Disney" DVD? I'm asking because I only need one more Disney DVD to send away for the B1G1 Free deal and I'd love to be able to use this one instead of having to wait to send it until Nemo comes out (that's my next Disney purchase) especially since the offer ends at the end of the year instead of January, and I want to get the thing in the mail ASAP so I can get Remember the Titans sooner.

I think they see and counted it as a Disney DVD since there is written disneyvideos.com on the backside, although it´s listed as a Touchstone Picture. The Special Edition also have the shorts Vincent and Frankenweenie which are considered as Disney shorts.

But the disc in itself state Touchstone Home Video!

Thanks! I knew about the shorts, but didn't know they were considered Disney. If they are, then the DVD probably is, too.

I didn´t knew that, but then i saw that movie in the book "The Encyclopedia of Walt Disney's Animated Characters" (on chapter III - The Features, among the other animated features).

On a related note, the 10th anniversary of the original theatrical release of The Nightmare Before Christmas is Monday. It opened in limited release on October 13, 1993 before expanding wide on October 22, 1993.

Best Buy online has it for a pretty good price. I got mine a few weeks ago for $14.99.

Well, despite Amazon claiming that Borders had it, they kept Nightmare well hidden this morning. So I ended up making my third Disney DVD purchase for the deal -- but it wasn't Nightmare. I got Holes instead.
