Whoops, silly me. Fantasia 2000 was an oversight, and I intentionally left Treasure Planet on the list simply because it's only been OOP for 3 months and is still easy to find.

Hi! I'm Tabbi. I have to say that my favorite Disney movie is The Lion King with Lady and the tramp coming in at a close second. So anything really to do with either of these films would be good.

I don't have Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure or The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. Though those might be out of price range at the moment.

Really you can surprise me with any of the Disney Animation movies that I don't have. There is a link in my Siggy that has an updated listing of the dvds that I currently own. So just go from that.

Also, if you can get it from overseas (from England, Europe, Region 2 DVD) I would love a copy of any of the Treasures. But definitly Mickey Mouse in Living Color 1 and 2 and Chronilogical Donald, On The Front Lines, and Silly Symphonies are on my to try and get list. But I don't know if online shopping Region 2 sites have these as cheaply as the stores over there do ( from what I've heard from others on this site anyway). But if you can't get access to these than don't worry about it and just stick to the Disney and Pooh movies that I don't already have on my list. :)

Edit: Oh and just to clarify. Prettymuch any dvd should be in R1. Just the Treasures can be R2 since they are easier to find that way and cheaper from what I understand!

Ah, the holidays. Time for the official UD Secret Santa post!

I'm feeling very greedy this year *just a warning ;)*.

First, a link to my official DVD wish list. ;)

Also, there is a list of poster I've been looking for-

Tron
Star Wars: Episodes I, III, V & VI
LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers
The Matrix
Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire (either the teasers or the official ones, preferably the teasers)
National Treasure
Superman
The Rocketeer
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera
Four Brothers
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy(official)
The Longest Yard(2005)
Batman Begins (official one that matches the one-disc DVD artwork)
War of the Worlds(2005)(The official one with the martian's hand)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Serenity
Treasure Planet(official)
Terminator trilogy (The officials)
Transporter/Transporter 2
V for Vendetta
Wedding Crashers
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Corpse Bride

Almost all of these can be found at moviegoods.com as reproductions or masterprints for $19.99 or less (plus S+H).

now here is a notice: Do not read the rest of these thread unless you can/want to spend nearly $100 or more.

One thing I've been needing for a while is a DVD Recorder. Doesn't have to be a huge brand or ridiculously expensive, just one that makes DVD-R's and DVD-RW's. Also, if possible, one that can copy VHS (I know not many can). So if you feel like using all your cash for a total stranger, feel free. :P (of course like others with over $20 wish posts, I'm not holding my breath on this one ;) )

Glad to offer a lot of variety for Secret Santa 2005. :float:

With the number of DVD's I buy, it is going to be relatively easy to buy something for me. There are just a few that make the list of ones that I want, but I want someone else to get it for me.

One Disney title among them:

Sky High

The others on the wish list include:

King Kong (1976 version with Jessica Lange)

Mighty Joe Young

The Heavenly Kid

Winged Migration - Special Edition

Jimi Hendrix Live at Woodstock

Phish It

That is the short list, and I would definitely appreciate it if they were Widescreen only (where available). You will find I am not very picky.

This secret Santa list will not change.

Well, like I said, I won't waste money on it, if someone else wants to get it for me, then I will keep it in the collection. Doesnt mean that I like it. It was still a silly movie.

I'd really like The Polar Express: Two Disc Special Edition, seeing as I am a ham for Christmas movies. Plus, I need a new movie for the holidays really bad :). Besides that, here are some other ideas..

DVDs:
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: Volume 1
Ducktales: Volume 1
Garfield the Movie: Special Edition
March of the Penguins
The Sound of Music: 40th Anniversary Edition
Walt Disney Treasures - The Chronological Donald: Volume II

Also, I would die if my Secret Santa was available to buy Desperate Housewives: The Complete First Season it is my favorite show, which I watch religiously, but i waited until Christmas *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

~DVDS WIDESCREEN (WHEN APPLICABLE) AND REGION 1~

*tlm

Happy Holidays :)

I am a huge Frank Capra fan and collect his movies on dvd. I still need the following titles:

Platinum Blonde (recently with a drop in price from Columbia Tristar)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Lady For A Day (extremely hard to find from Image Entertainment)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Harry Langdon The Forgotten Clown (a collection of Silent Short films from Capra's early days.......Very Rare and semi expensive)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Also I love AFI sort of stuff. Almost behind the scenes and best of lists type stuff. Everything Oscar oriented and Hollywood seems to find my interest. Here are a list of random DVDs that fit this category:

AFI The Directors: Steven Spielberg (a cheaper documentary about Spielberg....one of my favorite directors)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Visions of Light: The Art Of Cinematography (very hard to find in stores, but very thorough)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

The Cutting Edge: The Magic of Movie Editing (A new release documentary that has peaked my interest lately)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Lastly I love movies from the 60's and 70's. I am a huge movie lover of all genres, with a gigantic DVD collection so be careful ;) Obviously an avid Disney lover I have most Disney DVDs that I want, however there are a few that keep eluding my purchase at the store and they are:

The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin
The World's Greatest Athlete
The Misadventures of Merlin Jones
The Boatniks
The Barefoot Executive
The Strongest Man In the World

All of these are available and in print items. To further support our favorite forum, I recommend that if you purchase online do so via the links on this site. Anything to support ultimatedisney.com

There is one item that I dare not ask for, for fear that it be too bold; and that is the out of print 2-disc Collector's Edition of Tarzan. I have been searching for this set for 4 years and to no avail. Perhaps, though since this is the season of miracles it wouldn't be too ambitious to post in my wishlist. Who knows, maybe my secret santa has a bit magic up their sleeve.

As always, I would be only too thankful for any gift my santa deems appropriate, but these are some hopes and ideas.

Lastly.......................

Merry Christmas ;)

My friends and family always tell me that I am the easiest person to buy for. I need a lot of DVDs, but I will love anything that people get me. Even if I never heard of it, it's nice to try new things. Here is a pic of every DVD that I want. the covers should be pretty recognizable, and Id be happy with anything on that list. LARGE PIC, MAY TAKE A MINUTE TO LOAD.

http://img430.imageshack.us/img430/7479/dvds8sb.jpg

Here is a list opf all my DVDs, So I dont get duplicates.

http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection ... king381222

The pic itself should give sufficient info. I'd be happy with any thing there! Thanks! I love XMAS!! I cant wait to buy my gift for my person!

Well I am pretty easy, since I am a beginning Disney collector. Little bit about me. I was born in 1962, grew up in Southern California and currently live in Glendale. I am married, no kids and I have a cat. I'm self-employed as a commercial appraiser and going to school for certification. Hobbies (when time permits): 3-D photography, rum drink mixology, I run a website and I'm a pirate reinactor with a local pirate guild. My latest hobby is looking for Disney OOP titles and Treasure Series tins at local stores!

Some of you have already "met" me via my debut post about receiving dented Treasure Series tins from Amazon.... I had just recently discovered Disney was releasing their classics on DVD. Searching for info led me to this website and the discovery of the Disney Treasure Series tins. Hence a new Disney DVD "collector" was born. So without further delay, here's my wish list:

As far as I know, all these are available at Amazon/are still in print. Has to be Region 1 DVD since I live in the USA. I think they all come in widescreen or just one type, correct? If there is a choice, I prefer widescreen.

Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Melody Time
Pocahantas 10th Anniversary Edition (slipcover)
Brother Bear Special Edition 2 disc DVD
Lion King 1 ½ (slipcover)
Lion King II Simbas Pride (slipcover)
Timeless Tales Vol. 1
Timeless Tales Vol. 2
Finding Nemo (slipcover)
The Incredibles (slipcover)
Monsters, Inc.
Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition (slipcover)
Fox & the Hound

(As is the case with Disney tins, I've become obsessed with getting the DVDs in the cardboard slipcovers, if they were issued with slipcovers. :D I've noted "slipcover" next to those titles. If you elect to buy one of these titles, please get it without a big ugly price sticker on it. If the sticker is on shrinkwrap, that's no problem since I remove the shrinkwrap :))

Is it me or does anyone understand the money limit on the gift has been set at about $20. I think that you all should go back and look at your lists and take out those Box Set items that are $30 - $60 in price. I think we need to all just list a few things instead of a "hundred' or so.

This is supposed to be a fun thing to do, and you should pick out two or three things that fall within the aforementioned and agreed upon $20 limit. What with postage and everything, some of us may get a European address and it will cost another $20 to get it mailed on time.

Just a suggestion.

'nuff said.

Like I told MMP every item on peoples lists are suggestions. You don't have to give them everything on their list. I'm sure they understand that because I understand that I wont get everything on my list. It's up to you if you want to spend more than the suggested amount which Luke has said several times. So you don't have to get them the $30-$60 box sets. My wish list was a list I constructed not just for here but what I may want to get in the future. For instance, I have Bambi II on my wish list but of course you can't get it because it's not out yet. I hope that make sense.
