Save the Muppets has just relaunched with a petition asking Disney not to go through with its plan to hire multiple performers for each Muppet.

The Muppets are just like the Disney Characters, they should only require one voice. What made Mickey be Mickey was that Walt was voicing him. And that torch was passed to James MacDonald, then Wayne Allwine. You don't have a quintet of high-pitched men taking turns being Mickey in what little cartoons he appears in these days. Likewise, you shouldn't have a quintet of newbies taking turns being Kermit or Fozzy or Gonzo.
