"Mickey Mouse Disco"
I do remember the cartoon "Mickey Mouse Disco". I have this cartoon that I copied from the old Disney Channel on VHS several years ago. According to "Disney A-Z" book, this cartoon features footage from a number of cartoons starring Mickey and friends re-edited, with a new soundtrack from the best-selling album. I do have it on a record. According to this cartoon, this concept was the birthplace of Disney Channel's "DTV" music videos which also marry classic Disney animation with contemporary songs and artists. That show was not released on DVD because of the music rights. That cartoon was made in 1980. Has anybody seen it?

mickey mouse disco
i had the soundtrack of mickey mouse disco and i love it all of the songs including it's a small world disco version.

Back in the old days, when they showed a Disney movie on HBO, they would fill up the rest of the time slot with Disney cartoons. I remember, after they'd show the Black Hole they would always show Disco Mickey Mouse! When ever I saw that Black Hole was on, I would sit through the rest of it to see Disco Mickey Mouse! I loved that cartoon!
I would love to see it again...I found a 16MM Print on ebay, but didn't win it
While DTV, hasn't poped up on DVD...there are tons of VHS titles floating around out there. An old video store in my area has them all. I used to like DTV because they used tons of animation that I had never seen before. But now that I'm older, I know/seen just about all the cartoons that they use!

This was long before they were using clips from Disney movies using the song "Every Girl Can Be A Princess", a song that was featured on the "Cinderella" DVD with the bonus extra. That music video was sung by the Disney Princess using clips from "Cinderella", "Snow White", "Aladdin", "Beauty and the Beast" and others. "Mickey Mouse Disco" was released as a short using clips from several Disney animated shorts featuring Mickey and friends and it was released back in 1980.mexico_ride wrote:Back in the old days, when they showed a Disney movie on HBO, they would fill up the rest of the time slot with Disney cartoons.
