I have all of the classics except for The Little Mermaid. That's mainly what I collect. The classics. Some of the new ones. But classics take the cake. Oh yah and the TREASURES also. Anybody looking to buy some treasures? If so I have many for sale. Please let me know. :)

You are just getting that last one for completeness sake, right? I mean, the only real reason to buy it is for "Christmas Carol", but with that on the Mickey Color Treasures this fall...

It's worth getting Snowed In At The House of Mouse for the bonus Premiere episode of the House of Mouse television series (and the genius of this episode just shows how poor both House of Mouse DTV productions have been).
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I'm only really wanting a complete set of the "Animated Classics". The only sequels I have are Animated Classics so far, but I'll probably buy Stitch! and a couple more at some point - not fussed about having a complete set of sequels or DTVs though.

So, I need:

Pinocchio / Bambi (waiting for Platinum), Saludos Amigos, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free (will leave these three till last), Ichabod & Mr. Toad, Cinderella, Alice In Wonderland, Lady and the Tramp / 101 Dalmatians / The Jungle Book (will probably just hang on for the platinums, rather than eBaying it), The Fox and the Hound (will buy the current release soon, but hopefully we'll get a proper one some time), The Black Cauldron, Oliver and Co., Aladdin, Hercules, Mulan.

Or, to put it another way - I still need a lot of them!

Oh, and if we're including Pixars (which I do want a complete set of) then I still need A Bug's Life and the upcoming Nemo)

I need too many to list. The thing is I have my favorites on VHS but haven't necessarily upgraded all of them to DVD. I think at the rate I'm going (buying the new releases and three or four old classics every year), I'll have the entire Disney animated canon within a decade.

I built up my Disney animated classics library over many years on VHS, mainly when all of the films were issued under the Masterpiece Collection label. Then, the family got a DVD player.

A year later, I bought Snow White on disc, which can be credited as THE one DVD that opened my eyes to the possibilities of the format and making me obsessive over DVDs. Then I decided to rebuild my Disney collection from the ground up on DVD. But I also wanted to buy DVDs from other studios, and Disney-released DVDs that are not part of the animated classic canon (Monsters, Inc., Spirited Away, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.) and I quickly got swept up in buying new releases, which take priority because they're cheapest when new, so it's an endless cycle which doesn't leave me with much time to go back and get the stuff I've missed during the years between when Disney and I got on board with DVD. So as a result, I still have a lot to get.

That said, it's a lot more efficiant to list what I have right now as opposed to what I need to get. Like most, I'm aiming to collect the entire animated classic lineup, plus the other theatrical animation (Pixar, Dinosaur, Nightmare, James and the Giant Peach etc.), sans cheapquels. So here's all the Disney DVDs I have at the moment or am getting within the next few days.

Beauty and the Beast
A Bug's Life CE (reissue) (Pixar)
Hercules - Gold Collection
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Kiki's Delivery Service (Studio Gibli)
Lilo & Stitch
The Lion King (standard Platinum Edition)
Mickey Mouse in Living Color (Walt Disney Treasures)
Monsters, Inc. (Pixar)
The Nightmare Before Christmas SE (TouchStone/Disney)
Peter Pan SE
Pinocchio - Gold Collection
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Spirited Away (Studio Gibli)
Treasure Planet
Tuck Everlasting (live-action)
Walt Disney World: Where the Magic Lives
Winnie the Pooh: A Very Me
rry Pooh Year (won it, very nice little movie)

My complete DVD collection, non-Disney included, and unfortunately sans the WDW DVD, can be seen via a link in my signature, or for the extremely lazy, the link is <http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html? ... jakelipson target=blank>here</a>, too.

Well this is just Animated Classics, as those are the reason I love disney...

So far I HAVE:

Alice in Wonderland (GC) - will be upgrading
Beauty and the Beast
Hercules
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Lilo and Stitch
The Lion King
The Little Mermaid
Oliver and Company
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
The Sword in the Stone
Treasure Planet

So I have 12 :) I'm planning on collecting the whole Platinum Line, regardless if I care for the film or not, I think everyone knows one platinum film I do not like  , but as for the rest, I'm only collecting ones that I like, I'm not going for completeness sake, atleast not yet. ;)

Here are the ones the I WANT/NEED:

Aladdin
Bambi
Cinderella
101 Dalmations
The Fox and the Hound
The Junglebook
Lady and the Tramp
Mulan
Pocahontas
Tarzan

I have not yet seen the following so I was not able to include them in the list:

Dumbo
The Great Mouse Detective (actually I have seen many parts from this movie and did not like them, but I have to give this another chance, I guess)
The Rescuers, although I am very curious to see this.

The last list is of movies I did not care for but may pick up in the future if they get a decent enough SE release, or in the case of 2 platinum releases...

The Black Cauldron
Peter Pan
Pinocchio

and I may one day add Aristocats and Rescuers Down Under (which was good) so in essence I will probably collect all the classics except for the package features...

By the way how is the Fox and the Hound DVD. Does it have a good transfer and all? Thanks

:)

Prince Adam.....I'm a sucker for Disney (obviously) and if it's Xmas related then I'm even more of a sucker as I just love the whole festive season. As a kid I loved Xmas Day just because I got to watch Xmas films and cartoons all day. So definitely want to get Snowed in at the House of Mouse for those reasons. Never seen it before but I'm sure it's great!

Can't argue with that :D ! I'm the exact same way (that's why I bought it without renting first).
But beware-the only good points of the "feature" are "Christmas Carol, the end song (Best Christmas of All), and the chance to see "Pluto's Christmas Tree" again.
