They didn't even make it to the low-class Gold Classic Collection... And poor Olivia, Dawson, Basil and the others...

Yeah, Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers, and Oliver & Company are all "Gold Collection" discs that aren't labeled as Gold Collection.

Lucky for them... The Gold Collection was baaaad. And come on, it's much nicer to have "Oliver & Company: SPECIAL EDITION" than "Oliver & Company: GOLD COLLECTION EDITION"... even if the DVDs are the same, the SE brand count's a lot! :D

it is strange to consider them as Gold Collection but i guess it would work due to their small amount of special features

Dumbo (and possibly Peter Pan) is also a Gold Collection, as was Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Dumbo and Bedknobs and Broomsticks were both of course Gold Collection because of their label. I'm not sure about Peter Pan though.

Bsil and the original Rescuers deserved much more than the Gold Collection and since the disc is not labeled I can almoust say they didn't even make it to it...

Dumbo isn't really a Gold Collection - it's got considerably more content than they did. It's somewhere in between Fantasia/Snow White and Pinnochio, in terms of treatment.

Anyway, I think that The Rescuers, Dumbo and the Great Mouse Detective aren't hidden Golds, since Gold Collection titles do not bring as many bonuses as did these titles...

I'm gonna pick up Dumbo this week, does anyone think this will be a title Disney will ever revisit or reissue in the future?

I think all the Disney movies are going to be re-released in the future. Someday The Gold Collection will disappear...

Well, I liked the Robin Hood DVD because it had a great transfer. Didn't get much in terms of extras, though. As long as the movie looks good, however, I can't complain too much (like I can for the rescuers)
