It's finally coming to DVD!!!! ANIMANIACS!!!!!!

Post by ichabod »

Well it has to be one of the most requested animated TV shows and finally animaniacs, along with the spin off Pinky and the Brain are coming!
We've got baloney in our slacks, and a DVD set on the way! Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner are the Animaniacs, that threesome that keep escaping from the water tower at the Warner Brothers movie studio lot and running amuck through cartoons along with Hello Nurse, Mindy, Buttons, Dr. Otto Scratchansniff, and the rest of the wacky cast of the animated series brought to you by none other than Steven Spielberg.

Wait...we didn't mention Pinky and the Brain. Who could forget them? Noone could, least of all the folks at Warner, who also have a DVD set of their spin-off series (called Pinky and the Brain, go fig!) coming at the same time. Yep, we said DVDs are coming for both series!

Industry sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, have let us know that Warner Home Video has both of these long-awaited, highly-anticipated shows on their radar screen for a possible mid-2006 DVD release! Look for a multi-disc set for each series, with around two dozen episodes per box. Now that's comedy!

This is very early news, and is all still subject to change of course. Even if it doesn't change, there's more - lots more - to come on this very exciting news. Stay tuned to TVShowsOnDVD and we'll bring you further updates and developments, just as soon as we can!

According to the release info, if you chose to read it, they say approximately two dozen episodes per set...........that could mean season sets, although I would like the Holiday ones to come out separately.

Animaniacs are probably one of my most favorite cartoons out there right now. Can't wait for more on "The Book Review" and our very best friends Pinky and the Brain.

All animated movies were not made evenly. Some seasons can have way more episodes than another. If they do two dozen episodes in chronological order, then they are essentially mimicing a season and that is fine. Although, in this case Season 1 is 24 episodes so I imagine that is what we are getting.

I say this is very good news. I have been waiting quite a long time to see some good episodes again, especially since they haven't been on T.V. for a while. I'm not quite so excited for Pinky and the Brain. The show itself was fine, but I much preferred their shorts in Animaniacs.

I'm pretty excited about the Animaniacs news but I'm more excited about the Pinky and the Brain news. It doesn't matter though because I'll probably buy both series on DVD. :)

Yup... time for Tiny Toons next. :)

Yeah, Pinky and the Brain were great too, but Animaniacs was just plain genius. Plus, you can always see some P&B on Animaniacs. But don't worry, I'll get both.

Yes, Looney Toons should be next. Well actually, Family Matters should be next, unless we're keeping this limited to animation. ;)

I remember loving Pinky and the Brain! C'mon 2 mice who want to take over the world! Genius! :D

As for Animaniacs, I don't remember it too well, but there were a couple episodes that were amusing! I also love Wacko's Wish! :D
