Cinderella bargains/ offers in UK thread

Post by tooniac »

Hi, I thought i'd start a quick thread about Cinderella; I was in Asda today, and they told me that from tomorrow it will be available for £12.97 (!!!) but only for one week. No word on whether any soft toys will be included with it, as with previous Asda platinum DVD's. Does anyone know of any cheaper offers for Cinderella, or if any other stores are giving things away with the DVD?

I assume that the offer referes to a 2-disc version (not even sure if there will be a one-disc version int he UK).
Just release every Disney full-length toon on DVD - now, damn you!

Yes it the 2 disc version, they are not making a 1 disc version. Also yes £12.97 is the cheapest, including on line prices.

Also there are no toys, no one has any plushes, not even the Disney store.

You know I'm worried about the sales of Cindy. Stitch has a Glitch had Tv comomercials all over the place a week before it's release and Cindy has had nothing.

Out of curiosity, as I learned today that the French set of Cinderella is gonna be a digipack, does the UK set is a digipack as well or a standart plastic DVD case?
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...

I think that 99.99% that it'll be a normal amaray case, all our past platinums have been amaray, *apart fromt the Aladdin boxset*, of course i could be wrong, but i doubt we'll get a digipack from past experiences  pity though... Oh well, i'll know tomorrow

Thanks for the info Tooniac, i was wondering where to get it from, and you made my decision that bit easier

Cinderella will be a 1-disc here in Finland, I'm definetely going to skip this release and try get the 2-disc release. I'm so pissed off with they're decesion of thinking about the kids who aren't even the majority of the ones who actually get this release, or were the extras yet again too serious for the young audience? Blah.

In Asda some of the copies had a slipcase and some of them didn't. Both were the same price so I got the slipcase. But it does have loads of stuff about famous Americans in sport who I've never heard of. Perhaps it's all part of Disneys plan to Americanise the world.

Been lurking for over 2 months, thought I'd de-lurk and say thanks for the heads-up re Asda's price on Cinderella. Just treated myself to Cinderella and Robbie Williams' latest. I'm very happy now - have never seen Cinderella before :float:
Joey: So, you're playing a little Playstation, huh? That's whack. Playstation is whack. 'Sup with the whack Playstation, 'sup? Huh? Come on, am I nineteen or what?
Chandler: Yes, on a scale from one to ten, ten being the dumbest a person can look, you are definitely nineteen.

Got my Cinderella today, and watched it :) Ace movie!

Did anyone else have the big 'ol point of display carriage in their Asda? we did, and it took up most of the DVD/Music section, but by the looks of it, it was helping to shift some copies! :)
