It's most likely coming out in Region 2 as...waltmad wrote:there is no mention of lady & the tramps release on amazon u.k. will it be coming out on region 2 would any one know? thanks.
I can't wait for all of these. The Art of the Storyboard and Original Story Concept featurettes should be interesting to watch. I hope that the making-of will be organized like the other Platinums have been lately (focusing on story, animation, music, and voices), and as always, deleted scenes are a fun inclusion.Luke wrote:• NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN DELETED SCENES
* “La La Loo” – an alternate abandoned concept for the arrival of the baby
* “Turning the Tables” – Tramp describes what it would be like if dogs were the masters and people were the pets.
• FINDING LADY: THE ART OF THE STORYBOARD
Look inside the storyboard process (credited to Walt’s innovation), and explore Walt’s ingenious contributions to the development of this unique filmmaking tool.
• 1943 ORIGINAL LADY STORY CONCEPT
This is a fascinating, extremely rare “what if” vision of the story. This exciting and unique bonus feature takes you back in time over 50 years, to the Disney Studio during a creative “golden age” of animation. Here, you’ll find newly discovered storyboards that reveal a different approach to Walt’s unforgettable classic. What few know is that there was an early version of the film without Tramp, Jock Trusty and the famous spaghetti scene. At last, this fascinating story concept is revealed.
• LADY’S PEDIGREE: THE MAKING OF LADY AND THE TRAMP
Here is a behind-the-scenes look at this iconic masterpiece. This entertaining featurette includes a glimpse of Walt’s hometown, which was the inspiration for the setting of LADY AND THE TRAMP. In rare footage from the Disney archives, Walt tours the small town of his youth, and there is much more on entire process of the film’s creation.
This scares me. Obviously, I'm hoping for the best (commentary, trailers, art galleries, etc.), but I'm afraid Disney might do what they did with Cinderella and make a bunch of extras that have nothing to do with the movie itself. I can imagine opening the DVD to find a "<strike>Cinderella</strike> Lady & the Tramp Stories presented by <strike>ESPN</strike> Animal Planet" featurette! If Disney can make this DVD right, then that's great, but if they screw it up, I can tell we're going to have a lot of angry members.Luke wrote:• AND MORE
Ummm... yes it has:DisneyFan 2000 wrote:I was wondering. Has it ever happened before that Disney promised more, and actually delivered (beside more games)? I really am worried that this is all that Disney has to offer for such a fantastic film.
Though the name did change, we can assume "THE MAKING OF BAMBI: ORIGINAL CIRCLE OF LIFE" is the documentary that did make it to the DVD. But yes, the restoration featurette is missing there. Of course, sometimes Disney announces things and they disappear, like The Santa Clause Special Edition commentary, or Aladdin Disney Channel Circle of Stars music video. More often, it involves a DTS track being present or not. The inclusion of something unannounced and exclusion of something that is announced are both somewhat rare, but if they're going to happen, it's quite likely to happen on a Platinum Edition, where the efforts to compile bonus material are above and beyond the usual.Timon/Pumba fan wrote:Bambi Platinum Edition Press Release
That press release didn't include the 58 minute documentary or the restoration feature.
