Looks like Disney is incorporating WDW's Night of Joy with Narnia too:

Source: MousePlanet.comNarnia Music to Debut at Night of Joy
Music "inspired by" the upcoming Disney/Walden Media release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" will be performed by some of the acts at this year's Night of Joy event at Walt Disney World. Two "inspired by" soundtracks for the movie will be released by EMI CMG records. The first one will be an inspirational CD featuring recordings by popular artists. The debut single and video, "Remembering You," will be performed by Stephen Curtis Chapman, who will debut the song at the Disney event. TobyMac and Kutless will also perform their album cuts at the event. For more information on the event, visit the Night of Joy Web site

Luke, if you want to post links for the video file itself, just replace qt in the link with qref (for the Buena Vista links anyway (until disney changes it)). This is something that they've only recently started doing.

Here's the UK Trailer:

Unfortunately after downloading it, I found it was the same as the first trailer, but with less quality

Narnia Preview during Disney World's Night of Joy
During Night of Joy at DisneyWorld this year, they put up a large "Narnia" disply showing movie/behind the scenes clips, props, and even the Narnia XBox game to try way in advance! This is in hopes of getting my generation all excited about the movie (which has already been done!) and since CS Lewis was a Christian author (Lion...Witch...Wardrobe is The New Testament in a fantasy form) I'm sure Disney knows that Christian families will be a strong chunk of profits. To bad I couldn't have been there! It looked awesome! For more info go to: http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/articles ... hp?ID=1642

Wow! I never knew that! Thank youeric89 wrote:(Lion...Witch...Wardrobe is The New Testament in a fantasy form)
hopefully these movies will be the next Lord of the Rings. I am currently reading my first Narnia book, The Magician's Nephew.

It's not the 1st book. LWW is the 1st one. Somewhere along the line in my childhood they moved Magician's Nephew (6th book) to be the "1st" one because they assumed that having a prequel as the 6th book is too hard for us normal retards to understand....GhostHost wrote:hopefully these movies will be the next Lord of the Rings. I am reading them in chronological order not publishing order.DaveWadding wrote:It's not the 1st book. LWW is the 1st one. Anyone check out the latest "chapter" posted on the main page? Chapter V: Visual Effects (<--download at that link!)
And since this is an old thread I dredged up, check out the previous chapters at the Coming to Theaters page that Luke set up.
All I can say is... *SQUEE!* This film looks better with every tidbit they release about it. Regarding this current featurette, I gotta say I'm incredibly impressed with Aslan. It's a true measure of good CG effects when they can make a "mundane" animal that many are familiar with look so believable. In fact, the entire film is filled with "mundanes" - foxes, leopards, bears, beavers (and from what the featurette shows, apparently gorillas and rhinos, too?) - and all of the CG looked spectacular!! And of course, for all of the work on the "fantastic" beasts, everything looked swellegant, too. ^____^
Of course, best quote from the whole featurette came from Randy Starr - "And then Rhythm & Hues is adding that - extra added thing - of being able to add..." Who let that guy get into the PR clips?
Then, there's the small matter of...

Gryphons!!
I'm so stoked to see photorealistic CG gryphs on film. They're my favoritest mythical beasties ever! Seriously... this is equivalent to My Little Pony toys showing up in a Toy Story film, or something.
Anyhoo... in conclusion... yes. *deteriorates into more fangirlish "squee"-ing*

Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

The new trailer is as jawdropping as the previous one. This film looks absolutely fantastic. Together with Harry Potter, I think we're in for a great winter season at the movies. Hopefully they make up for all the crap we've had this year.

Direct Download of the second Trailer (Theatrical 1):
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Extra Large 52.2 MB)
Enjoy
I think this is one of the most anticipated movies of the year (or at least the end of the year). I have a feeling it's going to be bigger than King Kong, with a bigger opening.
