Yep. Read it here:

As part of an article about a child porn conviction, they not only consfuse anime, manga, and cartoons, but they also claim that "anime is illegal in Canada but not illegal in Japan and the United States.", and link anime with child porn.
Do they know that even Disney releases anime? And that "Spirited Away" won an Oscar? That the shelves of Toys R US are covered in anime and anime style merchandise? Or that manga can be bought at major books stores around the country? Seriously, journalism is going down hill fast....

orestes.
That is weird. Yeah they got things wrong... maybe they mean hentai? Never knew that was illegal here or maybe hentai with children.
I think it sucks for him and I don't have any real comment on this except it is a little twisted and I hope they are paying more attention to people with real child porn instead of drawings. (hey I think that is weird but it is only drawings)

Yeah, the article states that the cartoon was called Anime. Wonder how they got away with that.Lucylover1986 wrote:They say Anime is the specific name of the cartoon series he bought which featured cartoon kids having sex.
This is truly disturbing, and fits with Laz's disturb-tion of the hottest princesses. Why would someone watch (better yet, why would someone draw) animated characters having sex???

shame for them, because some anime strories are really great!
Also, the Japanese culture and the American(And I mean all America, not just the US)are quite unlike about the sexual themes
I mean, the japanese people even when they are kind of chovinist, are more open-minded about sexuality and not all anime is "just-for-kids" anime, but there´s Kids anime(like doraemon or digimon), anime for girls(like heidi and Sailor moon) and anime for boys(like Saint seiya-knights of zodiac- and Dragon ball)

Yeah I find it weird but I see nothing majorly wrong with that for whoever is into it but underage characters having sex is creepy and while I don't see it as child porn (but that may just be me) it's on the edge.Escapay wrote:Why would someone watch (better yet, why would someone draw) animated characters having sex???

I can't believe what I've heard some people find an attraction to these days from anything to furries to a major foot fetish but those I guess are not so bad compared to this.
