just 2 let u know, I'm going to NY

Hey i'm know i'm new here but, I thought i'd let you know i'm going on a holiday to New York tomorrow. Just so you know that i'm not a boring person who doesn't post anything :)

As sad as it is, probably they mean NYC. Most people from Europe talk of "New York" but really mean NYC. Also happens a lot in the US too. Everyone forgets us "upstaters" :x If I say I'm from "new york" the person automatically thinks I mean the city. I always have to specifically say "upstate NY".

Have fun in the city, Peaches! I'm sure you'll have a good time. You should see a broadway show while you're there! :) Oh, and don't forget the SHOPPING! :D

Same here, except us Jersey...Jerseyans? Jerseyites? Well, us NJ people always get the joke that NJ is where NY dumps their trash, or that just because we're from NJ we have the accent and say Joisey... :roll:

Helo i'm back from nyc lol I can see why that might anoy u sorry. It is amazing there. I saw the Beauty and the beast broadway show it's so great. Time square is my fave place there it's so bright and cool. :)

Kool, good that you enjoyed it :) . I've always wanted to go somewhere like NYC, but the furthest i've ever been was Spain :( , lovely part of Spain, i want to go again,, but i still want to break out of Europe.
