What did you cook/bake today

Post by Alan »

I've decided to start a thread called "what are you/did you cook today" in the spirit of threads like what are you listening/reading right now.

Right now I'm baking Nestle Toll House Chocolate chip cookies. They are really easy to bake. I was making my own homemade guacamole earlier today.

now this is an original thread

I cooked my meal, I made an "Arrachera" steak, half baked(you know, the one I talk about long time ago with the outside completely cooced-off and the pink and oozing center :P damn, if that´s isn´t meat I´m not human!) with some guacamolito and some lime.

Also a tortilla soup with some "Abaneros" peppers and "chiles Jalapeños toreados"(you grab a big and juicy jalapeño pepper and put it on the grill, just delicious :P )

That´s what I call a good meal, and of course, a Cesar saladd too :D

Well my wife had surgery 3 days ago so I have to feed her and the boys, so so far today I cooked Matzoh Ball Soup, Malt-o-Meal, and made a few sandwiches. I don't see myself cooking any big meals for a while because my wife will be on a very restricted diet for the next few months and I dont want to cook a big meal for me and the kids

I made bacon. :P
Alan, the title to this thread doesn't make much sense, if you think about it. "what are you/did you cook today" take away the word did and it says "what are you you cook today". If I were you I would change the title to "What did you cook today". 8)

Campbell's tomato soup tonight. I make mine with milk, and I usually just drink it. Tonight, I put in crushed crackers for the first time in years... I think I prefer just the soup. Tomato soup is one of my favorite foods.

I made Celery Bisque with Cheesy Croutons for supper today. It was edible, but far from delicious. However, the croutons were excellent.

"I smell bacon, do you smell bacon?"
"Yes I deffenitly smell a pork product of some type..."

Ditto for me tonight. Looking at all these legitimate meals people have makes me very envious. I suppose I could have more of them, but I never have time/am too lazy to do elaborate cooking.

Today was cooking day in science. We cooked apple crisp. It was pretty good compared to the other stuff we made. The cooking system at our school is all oraganic so we can't have any sugar or meat. I understand why we can't suagr but why meat? Meat is actually very heathly for bones especially if your still a kid. Besides, There's no one in our class who a vegitarian.
