I just seperated my Disney DVD's from the rest, and they're in chronological order:

Snow White PE (I need to track down a new copy, I just got this off ebay, and it's a little more worn looking that I'd prefer - I'm anal with my dvds!)
Bambi PE (sans slipcover unfortunately)
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Cinderella PE
Alice in Wonderland ME (sans slipcover unfortunately)
Sleeping Beatuy SE (just got off ebay - perfect packaging!)
Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
Beauty & the Beast PE (i don't have it, but the b/f does)
Aladdin PE Collector's Set
Lion King PE (i may go buy the Collectors Set at a local store that still has it)
Pochahontas (10th Anniv)
Mulan SE
Hercules
Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch

I also have my Walt Disney Treasures Disneyland Tin and a bootleg of Captain EO on there as well (tho I want to make a better cover for it.)

I plan on getting all the gold editions of movies that will likely not be upgraded, and will wait for PE's of the rest - and if new ones get released, I'll purchase those too.

I'm currently trying to obtain copies of Emperor's New Groove Ultimate Groove Edition (love that movie!), and the Tarzan CE before the prices go up even more. And I'm also trying to track down cheap copies of the new movies, Atlantis (2-disc), Treasure Planet, Brother Bear & Home on the Range

The Disney Movie Club has TENG CE for $21.95 and also has the Atlantis CE for the same price. Those were the best prices I could find around and I picked up TENG CE before it goes OOP when the new crappy groove version comes out.

Check out the DMC forum on here! I've gotten a ton of my Disney movies from DMC !! :)

An update.

I recently looked at the <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/checklist ... ecklist</a> just to see the DVDs we have and don't, and they are:

Pinocchio
Dumbo
Saludos Amigos
Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
The Jungle Book
The Aristocats
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Rescuers
The Fox and the Hound
The Black Cauldron
Oliver & Company
The Little Mermaid
The Rescuers Down Under
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Lilo & Stitch
Treasure Planet

...which means of the 44 Animated Classics, we have 22.

I do plan on getting the titles once they're re-released (like LatT PE, JB PE, etc.). For a Winnie the Pooh fan, I always debate whether I should pick it up now because of the whole "anniversary" edition, and the 30th Anniversary is just 2 years away! :o

I had Lilo & Stitch, but I sold it because I thought Disney would release a 2-Disc version. And sadly, I'm still waiting.

Sometime soon, I do plan on getting The Rescuers & The Rescuers Down Under because they're on the Disney shelf at Best Buy.

(not like anyone will read this) But since we're discussing our current collection:

- I like owning the Gift Sets, but I don't pay the MSRP or the sale price because I usually have coupons/price matches/or find a cheap price online for that.

- I won't be upgrading: Sleeping Beauty, TENG, and Tarzan (at least those are what I can think of at the top of my head).

But then again, you never know how great the picture will look when its upgraded!

The PE I'm most looking forward to is The Little Mermaid (because I absolutely LOVED the songs) followed by Lady and the Tramp (because of the dogs and story). :D

It's so small! It's like you were whispering them because you're ashamed that you don't own them, lol!

Of the 44, I have 17. Then again, I already posted my list on page 4.

In other news, Escapay can't find anything to write about, so he'll just say the word HIPPO and be gone.

Yes!!! Actually, no. Escapay, you over-analyzer! :p
It would've taken up space on the post! I'd rather people concentrate on the bigger words, or my discussion! ;)

I'm still patiently waiting for Fantasia Anthology to arrive. I only have 15 disney DVDs, and they all have two discs or more. I also bought fantasia anthology at a really good price (35 on amazon marketplace). I also got complete pluto there for 8 bucks, so I'm happy. I check amazon marketplace everyday to see if someone is selling cheap.

Atlantis CE (DMC)
TENG CE (DMC)
Snow White (Gamestop)
Beauty and the Beast (Gamestop)
Cinderella (Best Buy)
Fantasia Anthology (Gamestop)

I'm excited to be halfway there!! :D

Krystal- the Winnie the Pooh DVD is really cute! The bonus features are few but good! It's one of my favs. :)

Yeah I am a collector too. I have all the animated classics in some form of DVD and on VHS. I think Pinocchio deserves a PE.

Personally, I would love to see Oliver and Company get one, but I know that's asking much. I think it's just a personal fav of mine because that is what got me into the whole Disney crase. It was also the start of the 2nd coming of Disney musicals.

That's crazy. Even overstock.com has it for $19.99 and they usually have them cheap!! I got mine as a freebie when I signed up for the DMC- I'm glad I picked it. At the time I didn't know anything about how much each movie usually costs, I just picked the ones I liked the most. (that's pretty much how I started my collection :) )

The best extras are the "A Day for Eeyore" short from the 80's (I had remembered seeing it on the disney channel, in some of the newer showings of the Many Adventures they included it as part of the movie). And also a Making Of which is quite good.

Although if it eventually got better treatment (I'm not holding my breath) I'd probably pick it up since it's one of my favorites! :D

I didn't get a DVD player until 2001, so we didn't LEAP at some of the earlier Disney DVDs, but here are the Animated Classics that I have on DVD:

~Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs PE (preordered this one at The Disney Store in August '01, though we didn't get the player until Christmas...my dad had always said that he'd get a DVD player when The Godfather was released on DVD, and it happened to occur in the same month as Snow White, so we knew the player was coming soon)
~Fantasia 60th Anniversary
~Dumbo 60th Anniverary
~Bambi PE
~Cinderella PE Collector's Gift Set
~Alice in Wonderland Masterpiece Edition
(~I had Peter Pan SE for about a week; got it for Christmas last year, but it was used and had been so badly scratched that it didn't play, so my parents returned it and we haven't been able to find it affordably again)
~Sleeping Beauty SE
~The Little Mermaid LI (free gift for preordering Snow White at The Disney Store!)
~Beauty and the Beast PE
~Aladdin PE Collector's Gift Set
~The Lion King PE
~Mulan SE
~The Emperor's New Groove single-disc
~Atlantis: The Lost Empire single-disc
~Lilo and Stitch single-disc

So...that's all, right now, but that list includes all of my top 10 favourite Disney animated films except for Peter Pan, so I can't be too upset. I know this collection will grow. And, my family's got almost every one of the animated classics (up through Fantasia 2000, just missing a few of the package films) on VHS, so it's not as though I don't own them. :) The only ones I don't own at all are a few of the package films (don't remember which off the top of my head) and the post-Lilo and Stitch films. And I intend to change all that some day. :)

LOL, maybe I should do that too. Make words bigger so they know what to read, and smaller so they know what not to read...

If you can't find Pooh anywhere new Krystal, try GameStop, the answer to all life's Used DVD questions. Got mine for $12.99 (without an insert, though, and no trailer, though I can't blame GameStop for that.)

I'll bold what I have on DVD. I own all of them up to Tarzan on VHS except Peter Pan, whether I got the actual Disney VHS or taped them off TV. For Disney DVDs with multiple banners, I have indicated which one I have.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio - Plan to purchase Platinum Edition
Fantasia - May purchase Platinum Edition
Dumbo - Would purchase a Special Edition
Bambi
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music - If they released it with the short they dropped, I'd buy it.
Fun and Fancy Free - Would like to buy.
Melody Time - May buy. My VHS will hold me a while.
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland - plan to buy the Masterpiece Edition, but am disappointed at the bonuses from the laserdisc that were left off.
Peter Pan (Special Edition)
Lady and the Tramp - Will purchase Platinum Edition.
Sleeping Beauty
101 Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
The Jungle Book - Will purchase Platinum Edition
The Aristocats
Robin Hood
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Rescuers - Will purchase if they ever release a better edition.
The Fox and the Hound
The Black Cauldron - Really want to purchase.
The Great Mouse Detective - Really want to purchase.
Oliver & Company
The Little Mermaid - Will purchase Platinum Edition
The Rescuers Down Under
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Pocahontas (10th Anniversary Edition)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Will definitely purchase a Special Edition if they make one.
Hercules - Will possibly purchase a Special Edition if they make one.
Mulan (Special Edition...special my ass!)
Tarzan
Fantasia/2000
The Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Have it on VCD. No interest in the DVD.
Lilo & Stitch
Treasure Planet
Brother Bear
Home on the Range
