scroogemcd wrote:No, your right that doesn't make sense. And even if the pilot was "show 25" then it woudn't be Season 2.
The Pilot was the first episode written, shot, produced and finnally aired.
I'd agree on the pilot (kind of silly otherwise when you think about it) but as for the rest of the shows, there's one thing to make them in an order and another to then broadcast them in a different order.
After all, for example, Steamboat Willy was the third Mickey Mouse cartoon to be made...
Well I am going to be overly optimistic about the first five episodes of DuckTales being on the Volume one set. By the looks of the packaging of the first of the three discs with donald on a navy ship with the nephews would be a great first image as scrooge gets the boys cuz donald is joining the navy in the first episode.
I don't have it saved, but they said after careful consideration and thousands of emails requesting the episodes to be included that they will include them.
This is just so overvelmingly great news!!! I was a little dissapointed that we didn't get a digi-box, but now I don't care... We are getting the series from the beginning folks!
I wonder if they changed their minds about rescue rangers also. That may end up being a impulse buy for me, cuz I liked it but I have much fonder memories of ducktales. But if they are going to skip episodes I won't even impulsively buy it.
I just emailed them to ask for an updated episode list, and they gave me the same one:

Sorry if I sound suspicious/paranoid, but what gives? They give me the old episode list, and tell others that the pilot is on there. I'm confused as to the mixed signals. I don't think we should get too excited just yet about the pilot.
Has anyone asked if Disney is going to restore the bumpers to "DuckTales"? For those who don't remember, DVDtoons has a cap of one of them on their website:
