there´re some cool rap songs, but IMO find one really good is really hard

I ... third that guys. I really don't like rap, but, on occasion, I can hear a good song- 'Jesus Walks' by Kanye West for example. I have no problem with anyone who likes the music, and I have the greatest respect for some (and I use that term lightly) rap artists who use their talents wisely and as art.

Well, did you think about: when any group of people is called something that is so negative it borders on pure evil, they would rather change the public's perception of who can use the word? And turn it into something, if not positive for all races, positive for blacks? I know it's a little confusing for white people, but don't make it into such a mystery.

Will Smith is one of the greatest hypocrites working in the music field (or once was working in music). First, he denounces gangsta rap as a subgenre entirely (when it's all about telling the story of the dark side of black life, so that many people understand what it's actually like for a lot of black people) and then comes out on the stage of a Black Music Awards show and does the standard "up's" to Biggie and 2Pac. Now, I'm not going to say, "he didn't know them, he should shut up"; I'm not one of those people who thinks this is a matter of knowing everyone and being accepted everywhere before speaking about someone in this capacity. I'm going to say, "who the hell does he think he is?", knowing the answer full-well. He blasts what the men do and basically calls them worthless while they're alive, like the elitist that he is (real easy for him considering that he didn't exactly grow up on the streets), and then he outs himself as a poser by now taking it back in a sense several years after the men are dead (poser is a word I use very sparsely, in this case I'm saying he is being fake for the purpose of getting people to think he's great because he finally pays favorable recognition to them on stage - again: who the hell does he think he is?).

Then with his anti-curse thing (which is incredibly self-righteous), he quickly became a blatant liar, and of the worst kind; the liar who tries to come up with a reason that doesn't invalidate his assanine public persona. He won't curse in his music, as though that's the only media form that makes the rounds to young children, then curses up a STORM in Men in Black (and don't anyone say "sh*t" isn't a curse). Then, if Will Smith gave a damn about children, he wouldn't have kept going on and on about it while his show, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, had innumerable episodes where dozens of women played smiling, adoring "honies (honey's)" with no brain who all responded with infinite interest to his advances but never stayed in frame long enough to be paid more than the ongoing Extras rate. Ideal example - the Playboy mansion episode. I'm even willing to bet more than 20 of those women weren't paid a cent.

As this is coming from a person who listens to Lil'Kim. I like her music and the fact she's ''sexually explicit'' never bothered me, since I know that she talks about stuff like that in ONLY her music. Besides, the Moulin Rouge music video is too priceless.

Well there are black people who find it offensive when other black's use that word. They don't find it racis but some still might take offense to it. And there are also white people who take offense to it as well just because it's a bad word. It stands for hatread so why use a word that was directed twoards hate for you? I don't want to turn this into a mystery but what you said still doesn't make sence to me.

Well, just remember what I said. I said this is about black people taking back a word white people used. They're making it into a word to identify themselves within their own group. It's not supposed to make any more sense than that, unless you're black. Are you?

You really make no sense. But if a white person was to call you that, it would be racist, yet you use to word yourself.

As a Caucasian male, I myself find that very offensive and it is with the likes of fu*ker, bit*h, ass*ole, and other words that should not be tolerated in society. I really cannot understand how people use this type of language. If you view it as funny, then you really need to grow up, and see what your ancestors went through to get you your freedom. Really I don't understand this. Just because rappers use negative words in their music such as "pimp, nigger, etc" does not mean that the people or the listeners have to use the language. The rap pop culture is one of the worst in the world, spreading imoral, dissoluted, and derogatory messages to all that listen to it. The use of the word nigger, should not be tolerate, and neither should its white counterpart "redneck" which is used even on new broadcasts.

For along time African Americans wanted to be treated equal, and not be discriminated upon, but now some African Americans, being hypocritical, send a message of hatred against other races and their own race, which erases what their ancestors had done years before.

Ha! South Florida is nothing compared to Houston. I wouldn't blame you for not knowing that because that seems to be a common misconception about Texas, that's a pretty whitebread state. Anyway, in terms of diversity, we're probably only second to New York City and the large cities of California.

Have you been to Fort Pierce? Port Saint Lucie itself is not a huge multicultural place, but Fort Pierce, which is in the Treasure Coast metro area is hugely multicultural. And some accounts consider us part of the West Palm Metro area.
