"Ever After"
Speaking of Disney's "Cinderella", there was a movie based on "Cinderella" entitled "Ever After". It stars Drew Barrymore as Danielle De Barbarac. The movie was great and it's a "Cinderella" with a twist. Any questions?

Ever After
One question, and a few comments.
Amazing movie, really. It's a bit different than most and I like how the old woman is telling the story of her great great grandmother to the Brothers Grimm.
Anjelica Huston was the perfect cast for the evil stepmother, imo.
It's too bad the prince has done next to nothing since the movie, he makes for some great eye-candy. His acting was so-so, but he looked the part.
Plus, I think it was a bit more realistic. When the stepsister steals the dress, Danielle punches her, she doesn't just run off and cry.
After seeing the movie on tv ten million times these past few weeks, i'm still wondering, what happened to her mother's dress and the other shoe after the masque? They didn't magically appear on her, so obviously, she had to do something with them, right?

The best part was when Danielle puched her stepsister and she went heads over heels.
Classic. She's certainly not a "weak" Cinderella.
Yeah, whoever played the Prince (I've forgotten the cast except for Barrymore) didn't do much but he looked like royalty.
Sometimes that's all that matters.

I love that about Drew Berrymore's character too, that she punches the stepsister!
It was also cool how the "Fairy Godmother" is The painter dude ( i cant remember if it was Davinci...) that was diff but still so kool.
He played a strong role in the movie if u ask me. He saw things from both the main characters perspectives.

I have a copy of "Ever After" since I taped off of ABC (WABC-TV) back in 2001. I check the IMDb that the runtime for that movie was approxmately 121 min. The ABC broadcast version was edited down to 90 minutes, that 30 minutes worth of commercial breaks in between the movie. I don't like the way broadcast movies being edited. What should I do, get the DVD, perhaps.
Yes, you should buy the movie! Sometimes, Target puts it on sale at $7.50, otherwise I think it's marked to $9.44.musicradio77 wrote:I don't like the way broadcast movies being edited. What should I do, get the DVD, perhaps.
