I just watched: A Diary of a Mad Black Woman, it was really funny. And then before that, I had just watched the Ring and the Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge.

The Sweetest Thing Unrated:

I rented this movie once and despite all the bad reviews I truly liked it. So I knew I wanted it. I got it from my first order from the Columbia House. I wasn't going to waste one of my titles on this one... but it was the only place I could find the Unrated version.

Anyways... I don't like that much the begining of the movie but after that I really like it.

I just got from my grandpa's house with mom and aunt. While we were there, we watched Meet the Fockers. Funny movie altough I can't compare it to the first one because I haven't seen the first one in ages(Even though I own the DVD) . Anyway, I'm off to start my movie marathon. I'll post about that later.

I just watched Jiminy Glick in Lalawood and it was quite terrible. And yesterday I watched House of D, aslo not very good, but way better than Jiminy Glick.

Stewie Griffin: The untold story: Very fuuny movie. Altough they did lie about the uncencored part. Man, now I want a Wacky, waving, inflatable- arm-failng tube man. 8/10

The Corspe Bride:Beautiful flim. I really loved it. My only complaint was that it was a bit two short but then again NBC was also short too. 9/10

Well I heard with The Family Guy movie that if u go to the lanaguage section they give u the option on which version u want to watch

Were you a fan of the show? I keep hearing that it's terrible, but I really want to see it because I loved the show so much. But if it's horrible, I don't want to buy it; I could rent it (assuming it's at Blockbuster), but then I think I'll like it and I'll end up buying it, so that would be a waste. Ah, decisions, decisions. Luckily, I'm broke right now anyways.

And now on the my recent viewings. Wow, it's been a while since I've posted in this thread. Let me try to recap...

Citizen Kane - Great as always, and I was really impressed by some of the camera work that I hadn't noticed before. It was an assignment for one of my classes. Sadly, I was one of the few people who had seen it before and the only person who likes it in the class, left to defend it alongside the professor.

Breathless - This was my first exposure to Goddard. While I get some of what it's trying to do, I don't it works well as a movie. It's one thing to defy conventions, but that doesn't mean anything goes. While there were some things in it that intrigued me, I was mostly turned off by how drawn out and disjointed it was.

Primal Fear - The first time I saw this, I was really enthralled. This was the second or third time for me, and it holds up pretty well. That's saying a lot for a Richard Gere movie (blech!). Some really good suspense here, and Edward Norton is really good (isn't it his first major role?). Definitely check it out if you haven't! And if you have, maybe you can understand why it's called <i>Primal Fear</i>

Halloween - Finally, I've seen this movie, after having wanted to for a long while. Wow- is that really Jamie Lee Curtis underneath all that hair? Well it's a little tame by today's slasher flicks, but whether or not that's a bad thing is subjective. Definitely a subgenre archetype. I thought it did a pretty good job of suspense, and the score was wonderful (or at least the recurrent main theme). Now I just see the next seven in time for #9

The Aviator - I've owned the DVD since release week and only recently got around to seeing it. It wasn't quite as amazing as I was hoping, but it was still really good and I'm happy to own it. I think it was more a problem with my own expectations, and that I didn't know much of the Hughes story and for some reason believed it to be a more triumphant story. Leonardo, a wonderful and underrated actor, was looking quite a bit like Orson Welles in <i>Citizen Kane</i> when they aged him. I wonder if that was intentional, given that the movie had a similar (but obviously not as masteful) feel to it?

My Fair Lady - And finally (I think this wraps them up), I finished this today. Renata will be proud: it was my first encounter with an Audrey Hepburn movie. I absolutely love it. The music and dance numbers were brilliant, and the absurdity of Professor Higgins was highly amusing. There was some really clever dialogue and a wonderful cast. I would love to see the original Broadway performance. I could occasionally see some of Julie Andrews' mannerisms in Audrey Hepburn, who did an excellent job. This has already taken its place among my favorites. I just wish I would have seen it before now.
