I always thought of them being saudi arabian or something like that... but i just rewatched "Return of Jafar" the other day, and noticed that as abismal is rubbing jafar's lamp he says: "this should be worth a few shekels...." and the "shekel" is the israeli currency.... so could this be taking place in israel?? :?

It could be that the French chef may have been hired by the royal household and the objects could've been imported...

Um, how come we're discussing how un-authentic French objects are in a supposedly Danish or Scandanavian country? How come we're not discusisng why they have mermaids, which don't exist in any country... :?

Also, LM must take place in southern europe cause in Return to the Sea, Morgana's lair is presumably in the Antarctic (thus justifying the appearance of the penguins), yet it's a really short swim for all of them to get there...
