I did do a search SofaKing381222 ... I have been a wallflower on this site (just sitting back and reading) ... for the past year and a half ... so I know to search before posting a topic ...

But when I posted this and the Lost information I found ... it said that other related posts were in "Off-Topic" ... which confuses me ...

DH and Lost are both owned and distributed by Touchstone Television ... Just as Golden Girls and Scrubs ... But GG and Scrubs are not found in "Off-Topic" ... and if I recall correctly the DH and Lost press releases were once in the "General Discussion" before they moved here ...

So ... why is Lost and DH here and not in GD? Because of the subject matter? Because it is a one-hour drama as opposed to the sitcoms?

Lines are blurred when it comes to the Touchstone Television shows. Some are sort of as "Disney" as most things in the company, particularly when you're looking at older shows from the '80s and '90s. But Lost and DH are pretty clearly designed for an "adult" audience, so while they're worth covering, it should be clear they're not "Disney" per se. Maybe they do belong in General Discussion, if Scrubs and Golden Girls are.

Something to ponder, I guess. Thanks for putting up with the vagueries, though!

Andy, I have a random question for you; it seems as though you can import DVDs from what I have read on the forum, so why do you never seem to? I've looked in your siggy and seen your DVD list, and there are some vastly inferior Region 2 items in there (such as the faked widescreen only Brother Bear). I know that this has little to do with the topic of this TV show and I can accept if you are able to be patient for a month or so, but I thought that this was a perfect chance to ask the question. ;)

Thanks for the reply Luke.

I can understand how DH and Lost could not be considered as "Disney" as a "Boy Meets World" or "Home Improvement" ...

BUT ... they are all under the family of Touchstone which technically makes it Disney ... Call it Adult Disney ... but it's still Disney ...

If I could make a suggestion ... Maybe have a separate forum choice called "Touchstone Television" ... then all the Touchstone TV information ... press releases and all ... can be together ... instead of splitting them up and placing some in "GD" and some in "OT" ...

That is something that can be done ... just something to think about ...

There definitely seems to be a distinction between shows like GG and BMW and then shows like Housewives and Lost. The former just seem to feel "Disney." Maybe it's because they make Disney references and BMW even went to Disney World. Or maybe it is the family aspect. I think it comes down to how much Disney embraces a show as "Disney," and how much they push it off as "Touchstone."

Since it will be released in Australia on November 20, along with Lost Season 1 and My Wife and Kids Season 1, I'd say it will be released in the UK sometime around then.

If anyone's interested in the length of most of the bonus features, here they are:

n/a (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - DVD BONUS COMPILATION)
00:04:43:10 BLOOPERS
00:08:02:14 (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES AROUND THE WORLD)
00:01:19:15 (MULTI - LANGUAGE DINNER PARTY SCENE PROJECTION MASTER)
00:00:57:03 (EASTER EGG)
00:11:35:21 A STROLL DOWN WISTERIA LANE

Not that impressive so far (and what's this obsession with Multi-Language reels and Disney? You want Multi-Language, buy an early R2-PAL Disney DVD which has 8 soundtracks!)

Thankfully the extended scenes seem to have more meat to them.

00:06:23:23 EXTENDED SCENE 1
00:07:23:17 EXTENDED SCENE 2
00:06:18:19 EXTENDED SCENE 3
00:09:06:10 EXTENDED SCENE 4
00:08:13:21 EXTENDED SCENE 5
00:04:52:17 EXTENDED SCENE 6
00:08:59:24 EXTENDED SCENE 7
00:06:37:07 EXTENDED SCENE 8
00:07:41:00 EXTENDED SCENE 9
00:08:22:20 EXTENDED SCENE 10

Amazing, incredible review. The review is the sole reason this will be my birthday gift instead of Monsters, Inc and Bug's Life! Thanks for an incredible job, as usual! UD gives the goods yet again!
