I enjoyed this enormously. While the "whole" of the film was unsatisfying (due to be being 3 seperate episodes from the aborted TV series strung together) the actual execution of each of the three "stories" was much better than I was expecting. I expecially liked how each story didn't try to cram in all the supporting characters, and selected characters only were involved in each mission. And while not attempting to copy Michael J Fox's voice, the replacement Milo voice succeeded in capturing the essence of the character.
If one assumes that the 3 episodes were a template for how the series would have turned out, how many people here think Disney was wrong to cancel the series? Personally I think that "Team Atlantis" could have been a smash-hit on television - and presumably generate more interest in the original film. After all it looked like "Team Atlantis" was going to be filled with monsters, ghosts and Atlantian technology. Would it really have failed?
Oh well, another bad business decision from Disney, I think.

i couldn't agree with you all more. this had the appeal that a series like gargoyles had. a magical idea and a storyline that could take you around the world. my brother just watched my dvd of atlantis milo's return and said, "wow, this would've been an awesome televesion series. i wish they would've done it". you can't blame disney, though, after the response atlantis got. maybe with such good reviews, they'll resurface the idea of a t.v. series.....hey maybe it could fill in the time slot for Lizzie Mcguire (ha ha ha). at least we got a kickass special edition dvd right?

Yeah, I liked it too.
I really enjoyed the 'episodic' feel to the 'film'. I actually wanted more when the third part was over.
I think it would have worked really well as an ongoing series.
The set-up was there, and the characters are great.
It is a shame, but at least we have a copy of something 'that might have been'.
