Lion King Sing-a-long Songs

Post by Mermaid Kelly »

I just bought the Lion King-Circle of Life sing-a-long dvd. I have and loved all the sing-a-long vhs tapes from when I was little, so I thought this would be a really cool dvd! I was right...It's great! It has all the songs from the old vhs, PLUS MORE! :) If anyone else has it, you know the song "Yummy Yummy Yummy" by Timon and Pumba, well my parents said that it's a remake of a song they loved when they first met in 1968. They said it was originally sung by a group called "The Ohio Express" Just thought I'd let you guys know!

For those of you who don't have DVD players (if I remember correctly, there are a few...), Disney's re-releasing the VHS with the additional songs on 10/28 -- Same day the Brother Bear SAS comes out.

Gantu: "You're foul! You're Flawed!"

Stitch: "Also cute and FLUFFY!"

I would definitly get Brother Bear's singalong if it didn't have unsanitary music from 101 Dalmatians II and Stitch! The Movie. Sigh.

Are there anything else on the Sing Along DVDs besides additional songs, compared to the video tapes? An option to listen to (and sing with) the music without vocals would be neat.

The dvd's have "games"....(not very good). Kind of like pre-school games with basic vocabulary and music note recognition. But a neat feature is that when you complete a game, you get to see a song that is not a sing-along on the dvd. For example, when you finish the "advanced" level of the word game, you get to see "We Are One" from Lion King 2. I never saw Lion King 2, so I REALLY enjoyed that song! I play the game often just to hear that!

Yes that was Pumba and Timon's remake. The original was "yummy yummy yummy I've got Love in my tummy".

Ah yes, the Ohio Express. I haven't heard of that song until I saw Timon and Pumbaa.
