Gummi Bears thread

Post by jamminjake245 »

I thought I would make a thread about in my opinion the best animated Disney show of all time, Gummi Bears. Chances are Gummi Bears and Talespin will be the next releases for television shows on to DVD:

I have to admit that I don't remember watching Gummi Bears; I guess I was to young to remember them or I never watch them on Saturday mornings. Disney should totally bring Gummi Bears to DVD soon.
I would be 3 when Gummi Bears started on Saturday mornings and I was 7 when Gummi Bears went to weekdays.

I personally never saw it either.

But I just went to IMDB and WOW! What a GREAT VOICE CAST!

I don't see how you can go wrong with Jim Cummings, June Foray, Lorenzo Music, Bill Scott and Paul Winchell! :D

Yeah, I remember Gummi Bears very fondly. It truly was a cartoon of greats in its time, since most cartoons before and during this period didn't have much substance, but Gummi Bears did. :)

Yeah, I think this and Talespin most likely will be the next wave of Disney TV toonage to get DVD releases as well.

And who agrees with me? Gusto is the ultimate bachelor 8) He was so cool.

It's been years since I last saw this show.
Zummi Gummi is my favorite character on the show.
Tummi Gummi is my second favorite character.
I'd like to see it again one day, maybe it'll get a dvd release.

*sneeze* Yes, I love Gummi Bears too. I admit, I don't remember very much about Gummi Bears, since it's been forever since it's been on TV here in the States, but I do remember what a fun show it was and how much I absolutely adored the theme song. And most importantly, I remember the secret of Gummiberry juice. :D

20 years, and they still haven't put them on DVD. :(
I'm tired of watching the VHS transfers on the DVDr...but the theme song is catchy! :D

What do I remember about the Gummi Bears as a kid...?
I know that they were born one month before me, and my baby sitter always let us watch them! <3 They were magical! :)

You're correct. Eisner himself came up with the idea of the show after seeing his kid's return from camp (?) eating the candies.
