TH BEST DISNEY CLIMAX?
TH BEST DISNEY CLIMAX?
What do you consider to be the best climax to a disney film?
Hunchback of Notredame 1996
Hunchback had one of the most dramatic and spectacular finales as Frollo and Quasimodo fight to the death on the parapets of notre dame high above a raging inferno
Mulan 1998
Mulan Had a suitably 'explosive Finale when Shan Yu was sent crashing into the fireworks tower.

Pocahontas 1995
Pocahontas saves John Smith from beeing executed by her own father. The Song and the colors while she is running, creates an incredible atmosthere!
Beauty and the Beast 1991
The fight between Beast and Gaston, where Beast almost die.
The Little Mermaid 1989
The fight against the giant Ursula rulling the sea and the waves.
It shows the power of Nature against the heroes, it's really great.
Sleeping Beauty 1959
The Scene where Prince Phillip kills Maleficient as Dragon. It a real excitting scene and the sound efects and music are great.

They took us to a magical journey under the sea, they show us how a beautiful girl can look into a heart of a beast, they even made us fly on a magic carpet...
Someday the magic will return!

I have a feeling there'll be a lot of the same answers, but:
Pocahontas - Even though I didn't like the movie overall, I have to admit that "Savages" was probably one of the best climaxes to a movie.
Aladdin - Best. Battle. EVER.
The Little Mermaid - Sometimes, watching over it, it seems kind of weak for some reason, but when Ursula rises out of the water the battle really gets good (to me).
Sleeping Beauty - It really takes the witch stereotype and pounds it into your face.
101 Dalmations - Don't laugh at me, but I thought that Cruella really MADE that movie (in the same way that Maleficent MADE Sleeping Beauty). And when she starts using that car as a weapon, it's really fun to watch.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

How about the climactic battle in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with the evil Queen? That one is pretty good.
I agree with most of the others. The one that brings me to tears every time though is the final scenes of "Old Yeller" when Travis has to shoot the dog. They haven't yet made a final scene in a movie, live or animated, that equals that one.

The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!

Totally agree with you about the top 3, thats my favourite part in Pocahontas, it all fits together so well, but as for Sleeping Beauty, i never really liked the battle with the dragon, mind you...i don't really like prince Philip, it could help explain itGwildor wrote:Pocahontas 1995

And although its not a climax, i always thought the stampede in TLK was really powerful and intense, expecially in 5.1 surround sound

I forgot to mencion one thing about the beauty and the beast climax:
I really love de scene where the beast is about to kill gaston and then he forgives him... and the background music starts...
Really amazing!

What you mean, when Bambi and GP escaped the burning forest and jumped over that water fall that was pretty intense. And the villian did exist (man... us), you just couldn't see them and you can assume that they burned to death in the fire. They actually had a scene cut out where you see a man's leg burning. How it got cut off I don't know. Didn't you see that extra on the PE DVD?Isidour wrote: and even it seems incredible because I´m the one who say it,I wouldn´t think on Bambi having an exciting climax.
(I have to say t, is quite weak an ending when the real villian doesn´t exist or get what he deserved)
Anyways, I'm gonna say Rescuers Down Under hand an intense climax too. When Mcleash dips Cody into Crock Falls and you're like "Oh, No!!! He's gonna be eaten by crocks." And Marahute(Spell check?) saves him when he falls off the water fall.
yep I remember it.
But hey, remember than some people just watch the scene like something oring.
When yo go deper on the molvie and read behind the written lines you get the real climax of the scene.
The struggle for survive a terrible fire than consumes and destroy his home and possible some of his aquantances. The worry of knowing that Feline is ok,that she´s safe and the same feeling is growing on Feline´s heart.
That the red colors produce anxiety and the psycological reaction is to feel nervous and excited because of the scene and the colors, the instinctive awnser to the impulses and all the excitment to our senses.
Definitevly one of the best scenes, but not all can really appreciate the real and the deep of the scene

The Little Mermaid:
The way Ursula got huge (how she got angry breathing heavily), the whole sea that opened at her tentacles, the storm, she shooting at the defenseless Ariel; very scary indeed.
second and third place.
The Lion King:
starting with how Scar threatened Simba, the whole fight with everybody till the final battle between Simba and Scar.
Aladdin:
I just wished it was longer and that you could see more of the action.

Sleeping Beauty had one of the best climaxes ever.
Roger Rabbits was good too w/ doom getting run over by the machine then finding out he was really a toon wearing a rubber mask.
Cinderellas slipper fitting tho not a huge climax-everyone knows that scene by heart & u can just see the slipper fitting on her tiny foot. I cant believe she was the ONLY one in the entire kingdom w/ that shoe size-LOL.
Dumbos is good too. He didnt need the feather it was all him all the time & he made fame for it!
And Buzz flying w/ Woody in hands to get to Andy was one of those magical moments in disney too that i love. He never did fly again now did he?

Snow White's ending is quite intense, I like it a lot.
Other great ones are in
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (spectacular with huge crowd and hanging up there)
Aladdin (there's so much going on with all that magic)
The Little Mermaid (that enormous whirl in the sea is great and you can feel Ursulas anger. Eric aims well!)
