Child Of Glass
I can't believe you didn't already know that I called them a few years ago and that is what I heard. For some odd reason the Film Reels were destroyed but I don't know because Disney keeps all of their Films Under Lock And Key in a Vault that is the right temp. for them to be kept safe. It odviously wasn't accidental something really happened to those films and I want to know what. But they could still put it on DVD by using their Origional 1986 VHS Master Copy which the Film Companies always keep the master copy.

Well it's 2005 and still no Boogedy or Child of Glass. I still have hope it's waning but I still have hope it will someday be released. but those copies on ebay are looking oftly tempting. I try to email Disney every once in a while but I came to the conclusion if i'm the only asking about these titles over and over it probably won't do any good.
Maybe I need to start a site or something called releaseboogedy.com like some other sites where they want to save a tv show from being cancelled so they name the site save____.com
P.S. Any update on Principal Takes A Holiday DVD Luke? Kevin Nealon's starring in an new Showtime series this summer called Weeds. Maybe they could release it because of that.

No, and I'm worried that when it does come, it could take the DMC-Exclusive route like "Mail to the Chief" did. TV Movies is where the bulk of Disney's titles that were released to video but not DVD fall. Surprised we have seen none of the Wonderful World of Disney telemovies released to DVD this year. There's always next year I guess.Boogedy Boo wrote:P.S. Any update on Principal Takes A Holiday DVD Luke? Kevin Nealon's starring in an new Showtime series this summer called Weeds. Oh, and the Touchstone film Annapolis (which opens in theaters this August) apparently features Zachery Ty Bryan in a supporting role. Though I think cross-promotion there is a stretch.

Hi
Yeah I worry that it might only see a DMC-Exclusive route. But that is good for the Disney MOvie Club members, because then they can buy it. Maby some day it will be released to everybody. Who knows.

Luke I was looking back at the first page and re-reading the first posts. You said 2 years ago that you get more email for the Boogedy & Child of Glass movies then anything else. Do you still get emails for these titles? And does Disney know how much people want these titles? Maybe that would persuade them.
It's probably doubtful but..

Boogedy, Child of Glass, and the two Polly movies still yield as many e-mails as probably anything, but I think adding the disclaimer about not selling movies has slowed them down a bit.Boogedy Boo wrote:Luke I was looking back at the first page and re-reading the first posts. I'm sure Disney knows how much people want them since I always inform people to express their interest to Disney. At least Bride of Boogedy and Child of Glass were released to video.

Hi
Correct me if I am wrong, but Bride Of BOogedy was only released on Pal Format. Even though there are a lot of people who sell the video on E-Bay and say it is an authentic American Release. And Mr. Boogedy is on E-Bay a lot to. Some bootlegger designed a fake artwork to match the 1983 Disney Classics with the Walt Disney Logo covering 50% of the case. And the movie title scrunched down on the bottom that covers the other 50% of the front of the case. And you can always buy bootleg dvds of them on the internet if you are really desperate to obtain them.

I remember Mr. Boogedy! I loved it as a kid!
I also remember Ocean Girl that was aired on the Disney Channel. I hope for that to come to DVD. Though Disney won't likely do it. They don't own it. It is owned by an Aussie company which is the same company that created it. Now and then there is talk of a DVD set, but only in Australia. So glad I have an All Region DVD player for when it does

I wanted to bring this up again.
I just realised that next year is the 20th anniversery of Mr. Boogedy. If Disney doesn't do anything for that it's criminal. I'm going to email them tommorow and just encourage them that if there was a time to release it then next year would be it. It would be great if others emailed to show Disney that people would like this movie on DVD.

I ought to too I guess.....
Wouldn't it be great to have a Halloween movie night and be able to watch the Boogedy movies along with Monster Squad?
I have very fond memories of watching these in the 80's (and being totally scared too!). it just seems bizarre to me that Disney would ignore such a sure seller. I know so many people who would snap this up if it was available.

Hello, I was hoping someobody here could help me with a question.
How long is Mr. Boogedy?
I found an old tape of Mr. Boogedy, but I just watched it and it was only aprx. 45 minutes long. I remember a feature length version.
I'm afraid I taped some edited version somehow. Or is that the correct
length?
Thanks

Child of Glass and other TV Movies
I would also love to have Child of Glass. I would also like to see Parent Trap III and Parent Trap Hawaiian Honeymoon on a 2-disc set. I know they probably won't, but it doesn't hurt to request them. I use this website:

Wow... I haven't posted in a while. I looked at my last post and it was from the beginning of last year. I wonder if anybody even remembers me?
I wanted to bring this up again because I got a juicy email from someone the other day that told me that both Mr. Boogedy & Child of Glass were coming on DVD soon. As soon as I read this I got really excited because these are probably my two most anticipated movies that are currently unreleased on DVD.
So I figured that I'd come over here and ask Luke because if anyone would know it's probably him. Both movies are long over due for a DVD release I'd be so happy if it was true.

I couldn't wait any longer, and I broke down and bought bootlegs of both Boogedy movies, both Polly movies, and Child of Glass. All I have watched since I've gotten them are Mr. Boogedy and Child of Glass; BOTH of which I will definitely be buying if/when they come to DVD. And so, I thought I'd pull this thread up again and see if anyone has heard anything about these releases.....I was kind of hoping for maybe a hallween release this year
