This show will probably have a difficult time making it to dvd. All of the music rights are going to be very difficult to get.

I LOVED that show!!!!!
Like other shows that haven't been released on dvd (I've looked up the Gummi Bears for instance), you can sometimes find copies on ebay. There's some crazy person selling all 5 seasons that they put on dvd for like $130 on ebay right now. The dvd quality isn't all that great I'm sure since they probably have been copied from VHS, but as for Kids Inc, it may be the only chance you've got to see it again...
I also wish they would release it on DVD!! (I've got more hopes for the Gummi Bears though!)

Is he making DVD's that will be sold in the stores, or that you will have to buy through EBay or another site?mila&breeze wrote:actally my cousin is making dvds for them!! don't worry he was hired to do it!! he know some one from the show

Re: What about Kids Inc? (Is it available on DVD?)
I remember this show! I used to watch it all the time when we first got the Disney channel. It was funny to see how much the kids grew up during the show. I think Jennifer Love Hewitt and Slater from Saved by the Bell were on it. I remember one episode where one of the short girls when she was still short had a lesson on "the bigger they are, the harder they fall."katielynnb wrote:Kids Inc. was one of my favorites yet I don't see it on this website anywhere...can you get it on dvd?
I don't think it would be on this website because it wasn't a Disney show. It was played on the Disney Channel but it wasn't made by them. At least that's what I remember reading when someone asked about it for Dave Smith's column of Disney Magazine.
Disney had a 10 year lease on the show which ran out in 1996, which is why they stopped showing it. It was originally produced (I think) by MGM and first aired in 1984 (not sure on what channel), and then Disney leased it from 1986-1996. Production stopped in 1993 and reruns were played until 1996. As far as I know, MGM still has ownership of the rights and would be the studio releasing the series on DVD (if it ever happened).
I watched this in syndication when I was a kid, long before it ever aired on Disney Channel.
Heh. . . I can remember attempting to write a letter to them and asking my brothers how to spell "incorporated." Woah, exactly how old *is* this show? I'm guessing I was in second grade or so, so that was around. . . 1984, maybe? Like MinnieMe says?
I wanted to ask them how I could be on the show too!

Darn.
I also had no idea that this is who the Black Eye Peas girl is until the story broke. (A downhill career if you ask me... sorry, Dave!)

I bet many wouldn't agree she has had a downhill careeer.
I think I would be okay if I never saw this show again but to all of this show's fans I'm sorry to hear that it isn't in the works. I would be devastated if there was a show I loved that was announced as possibly being in the works and then finding out soon after that it was just a rumour and there are no plans for a release.

Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! I have been wondering why the Black Eyed Peas chick looked SO familiar forever.AwallaceUNC wrote:Looks like it isn't coming to R1.

Any "Kids Incorporated" news?
Has there been any DVD news of "Kids Incorporated"?
I used to love this show, and would love to have it on DVD.
In a UK Interview Stacy Ferguson (former cast member) stated that it would be coming out soon, but MGM denies that. Now, I wrote a letter to Disney Channel about possibly airing a few episodes (they aired a few 90s episodes of MMC Mickey Mouse Club around 1999-2000) and also wrote a letter to Sony Pictures Television (which owns MGM's TV Library.. including Kids Inc)
I encourage other fans to write in, showing support for the series!
(AND a side note, MMC has a DVD! why not Kids Inc.)

Re: Any "Kids Incorporated" news?
I think the angle that Disney chose to push in the MMC DVD release illustrates why MMC is on DVD at all. Surely, many people would be interested in owning more than 4 episodes and not just those from the next-to-last season. But even if Disney (or whoever has the rights) were to take a similar route with "Kids", I don't think Mario, Love, Martika, Fergie, and Shanice are as big names as those other three.will4239 wrote:(AND a side note, MMC has a DVD! why not Kids Inc.)
Still, the MMC disc now carries a list price of $9.99 and I'm sure they didn't lose money on it. Even if they take the random episode route instead of box sets, whoever is in possession of the rights could and should try something for "Kids", but with all the songs they covered, rights are probably an issue.
