Beauty & the Beast - Best Animated Movie Ever. Sequels?

Post by jamminjake245 »

Hello, just a few minutes ago I finished watching my first viewing of Beauty & the Beast. I must say is it the best Disney..no animated movie I have ever seen. The colors were beautyiful, the songs are memorable and the plot is so captivating! I loved it. I never thought Beast would turn into a real human! That made my day! Now I want to see the sequels. Are they as good?
Wants Muppet Babies on DVD!!
Hopefully if Duckales and Rescue Rangers sell well we will get it!! Don't forget Gummi Bears!

The sequals aren't nearly as good as the first movie is. If anything, they will make you appriciate the first movie even more.
Belle's Magical World is just some stories about the castle and objects.

The christmas movie is ok, some decent songs, pretty background music towards the end. If anything, watch this.

Ok. I was suprised that the Magical World one was just a bunch of episodes. Then I was like, "Wait, this wasn't an animated show?" Is it like a Tarzan & Jane thing and they are all weaven together with a story?

I would have to say Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney movie of all time. It has everything an animated movie needs. The movie was, of course nominated for best picture (the only animated movie ever).

But of all the animated movies ever, it is not the best. That award would go to Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, or Princess Mononoke.
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline
5. Ponyo

I wouldn't say the best animated movie would ever go to Spirited Away or Castle in the Sky. Princess Mononoke would be good competiton, but those other two aren't nearly as great (and I particularly don't find them as interesting as Beauty and the Beast).

Beauty and the Beast is one of the greatest films of all time IMO? Why? Because of The Mob Song! This has got to be the most underrated Disney song in history. I think Gaston made such a great villain. For some reason I just burst out laughing when he says, "We can't have them running off to warn the creature" and then he throws Belle in the basement. It just showed how rude and evil Gaston is.

But this movie is also good in many other ways. Brilliant animation, great songs and a cast of such colorful characters it's hard not to like it. However "The Mob Song" is what makes this movie one of my all time favorites! :D

But be warned! The sequels were lame!

Well Beauy and the Beast is one of my favorite animated classic but it's not number one for me.

I thought the sequels were lame and too short.
I enjoyed Enchanted Christmas more then Belle's Magical World.

The Lion King is number 1 for me. :D

Even though it's not my personal favorite Disney movie, I agree with the people above me that it is the best Disney animated movie. Mostly because every single song is good, there are no bad ones.

Congratulations on discovering the magic of Beauty and the Beast!
The movie is truly magical.

The sequels are enjoyable however they don’t live up to the standard created by the original but they are quite enjoyable.

I think the Christmas movie is one of Disney's best sequels. It helps that all the voice actors return too. It also has my favorite Disney sequel song "As Long As There's Christmas".

I love Beauty and the Beast. I think it was about 2 years ago when I started getting back into Disney. We were playing a piece of music in band that had a bunch of different Ashman/Menken songs (Under the Sea, Friend Like Me, Beauty and the Beast, etc.) and I was thinking "I haven't watched Beauty and the Beast in a LONG time!" so I watched it when I got home from school. I fell in love with it 'cause it was such a great movie. I was also lucky enough to find the DVD at the Disney Store for the regular price. Aladdin is still my favorite Disney movie... but Beauty and the Beast is up there. :)
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
