No one on ebay has it for some reason. My Block Buster has it with the slip cover and when it first came out I was going to buy it from Walmart, but I didn't because I hadn't started collecting DVDs yet. I thought the DVD fad would just pass over in a few months, but I guess I was wrong! lol Here I am now adding a room to my house for my DVDS!!! lol
Wants Muppet Babies on DVD!!
Hopefully if Duckales and Rescue Rangers sell well we will get it!! Don't forget Gummi Bears!

Re: Disney Snow white
Hi, and welcome!purkitty wrote:Hi all
According to the <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/snowwhite.html"> review</a>, Snow White was released on October 9, 2001 (and went out of print in January 2002).Could someone let me know if Snow White 2 Disc Platinum Edition, When it was released. Did it come with the Slip Cover? The cardboard cover that is over some of the DVD cases?
As a person who owns Snow White Platinum Edition, I can tell you that 1.) it did not come with a slipcover nor did they ever make one for it. My cousin bought it the day of its release from Best Buy back in the day, and it never came in a slipcover. Jiminy is right: DVDs that were released in the Double Alpha Keepcases never had a slipcover (for example: Dinosaur Collector's Edition, Tarzan Collector's Edition, The Emperor's New Groove 2 Disc...)
Otherwise, if Snow White had (or has) a slipcover, then it would be on this <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 6">list</a>, which states that Beauty and the Beast was the "first Disney DVD with a slipcover."
<a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 16">Disney Customer Service</a>Too, What is the Disney's replacement Disc program? Where do I go to find out about it?
Just read the whole thread; in addition to the info that Ichabod posted, you get to hear our opinions about the service!
Lots of info about slipcovers and the disc replacement.
Use <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/sea ... >Search</a> for any more questions...Thanks
And Enjoy the forum!

If a Disney DVD has a slipcover, it will appear in the list made in the very first post in this thread, by Jake Lipson. If it never has, it will not be listed. <i>Dinosaur</i> came to DVD nearly two years before Disney started using slipcovers.purkitty wrote:Does Disney's Dinosaur come with a slipcove? I won a bid for one and hope it's a true Disney.
You need to re-read that list again. I added them right after my last post.epcotfan4 wrote:Actually, there are two more that need to be added to the first post of this thread:
Pom Poko
My Neighbors the Yamadas
They both have the same style of slipcovers as the previous Studio Ghibli wave.

To clear the Bambi confusion:
When Bambi Platinum Edition first was released the majority of the DVDs all had that glue. However, after many complaints to Disney by customers who could not get the fold to saty shut they chose to use velcro. Also as for the question if they are not doing the slip covers I think it is a yes and no. The slip covers come off easily so at such stores like Wal-Mart the goons there could have dropped them in the box or what not. Although, at my Wal-Mart Super Center the Bambi Platinum Editions do not have the slip covers. I got the last one..
The thing is such other Platinum Editions like Aladdin all have the slip case so I don't know what Disney or the retailers are doing.

Ok,
I want to order The Lion King 2 from amazon, and I want it with the slipcover because it is a gift for a friend that will really appreciate it.
The thing is that I sent an e-mail to amazon an they said they couldn't tell me.
Do you know if they still sell it with the slipcover, and if not if I'll still be able to ask one from Disney?
Thanks.

If you have a Borders near you check them out, I've found several OOP titles there.

The problem was though that they also had Beauty and the Beast PE w/ slipcover for $20. Can you just imagine the pain of having to choose one? I went for BATB.

Yes, they do. I always buy my Disney DVDs thru Amazon.com, and ther's the slipcover, and tht's quite normal 'coz that's part of the DVD as well as the case and you pay for it !
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...
