How did I choose my name?
Since I'm a big fan of 70's tv shows (such as Starsky & Hutch) I feel a bit of nostalgia. I loved the Bionic Woman (and the six million dollar man & dog
) I use the Bionic Woman as my moniker. She is a super hero and doesnt take any nonsense. You dont expect a normal woman to jump 10 feet. lol so being a child of the 70's (Born 71) I use her.

Return of the King is coming, are you ready?
Papa Bear
Well I get my name from Baloo from the Jungle Book 1&2 as well as from Tale Spin and his nickname is Papa Bear. The reason I chose the name is because I am a big fan of Baloo and out of all the disney charecters I can best relate to his personality. And no it is not from Golidilocks and the three bears.

Snapper Carr was the hipster sidekick of the Justice League of America back in the 60's. He uses the 'mod' slang of the 60's swinging scene and is fantastically funny!
In the new Justice League animated show, they have aged him a bit and made him into a TV anchor/reporter.
It's a name I use on all of the message boards and chat rooms that I go to - it makes it SO much easier to remember one name!

When I was younger,my favorite Disney movies were the rat movies(Rescuers,Great Mouse Detective). Then,I heard the news, that The Basil of Baker Street(from The Great Mouse Detective) would be a big character in "In Search Of Mickey" the 50th official Disney Animated movie with every Disney hero and villian, plus the characters in the Disney movies. So,that's I got my name.

okay okay, someone will b angry at me BUMPING this thread, but it was too good not to bring back up:)
paka, your name is also slang in Maori for grandfather, or old man!
mine is basically, Shooting star, but with letters and stuff it means i can ensure noone has stolen it. It comes from a song that i first learnt on the geetar, and one that has stuck with me through break ups, deaths of friends and loss of loved ones:) despite all the sadness its associated with for me, i still find it full of hope:)
it also links in with lots of subtle disney things, wishing on a star, the shooting stars in the lion king (when rafiki shows simba muffmuffs ghost)..i could go on!!
nice thread whoever started it:P
Of all the things I believe in
I just want to get it over with
tears from behind my eyes
but I do not cry
Counting the days that past me by
I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
Looks like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend and I say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I love
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems like I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes till you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light but it's not right
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
Ohhh yeah
It hurts to want everything & nothing at the same time
I want whats yours and I want whats mine
I want you but I'm not giving in this time
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew

By now everyone knows I love Aladdin and Jafar is my favorite character.
I didn't want to use Jafar because it was going to be too common. So I thought to use another one of his forms: "the old guy" didn't seem to cause much awe
, the Cobra was cool but it wasn't truly him, in his sultan Jafar form he didn't have powers. Sorcerer Jafar was going to be my choice but then I tought that usually people forget his genie form because of the few seconds it lasts on screen. So I chose the genie form because of that and because he's there the most powerful being on Earth and look incredibly evil, much like a devil (look at my avatar). I just added Evil to make it clear.

My old "universal" name used to be albygoot, taken from nicknames I had in high school (Alby and The Goot). But I grew tired of it, and grew tired of being referred to as allygoat by people who read too fast, so I decided to change it on all the boards I visited. I was still on my Finding Nemo high when I got to this board, and I lobsterlove Dory, so I wanted to do something related to Dory. But "Dory" itself was too boring a name for me to use, and I was actually considering NaturalBlue, and then finally I went for the kickass word in the entire movie, Escapay.

I made up my original name, Secret Disney Man, while listening to some of my I-Tunes(Secret Agent Man). Getting tired of that name and referring people to this board to try and get them to join, but they wouldn't because my name was different, I changed it to my generic name, Just Myself. I chose that name when I rejoined a forum I was banned from(comingsoon.net boards)

Cheers,

My name comes from the movie Coneheads. A Garthok is this huge beast that Beldar Conehead and other Conehead beings are forced to fight as punishment. As the emperor decides on what Beldar's punishment will be, he shouts; "YOU WILL... NARFLE THE GARTHOK!" (which I do a great impression of, by the way). Narfling, I'm assuming, is the act of fighting a Garthok.

If I had joined today, I would have used my real name. But I joined almost 5 months ago (1 day time, it's my 5th monthiversary), so I decided to derive a name from one of my personal Disney favourites, Alice in Wonderland. I took the Wonder and put a "licious" at the end, thus resulting in Wonderlicious!

Well I came up with my name because I know a lot of facts about Classic Live Action Disney so that is why I decided to have DisneyGuru as my username.

I picked my name not because I like dogs
- but because this was the first Disney movie I can remember as a child. I must have been 3 or 4 years old.
