2004 Movie Survivor Round 15 *Closed* Spiderman 2 Wins!

Post by castleinthesky »

This game is a survivor challenge between all movies that made 100 million or more in the U.S. (Sometimes called blockbusters) The movies must of been released in 2004.

Rules: (Adapted from Icabod and Raydawggie's previous/current survivor series)

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to have voted in previous rounds.

Please note if you do not have 25 posts, your vote will not be counted.

Rules are simple. 2 movies will leave and go home packing after each round. (The number of departures will decrease with less rounds left)

Editing votes is fine! Scheming is what makes Survivor so much fun!

Each round will last 48 hours (If I however am late, voting will remain open until I return). If there is a tie at the end of the round, we will have a one-day tiebreaker where we each vote to save one movie.

We are voting for the movies we want to win!

We each have 1 vote! You vote for 1 Movie!

Make your votes in bold. If your votes are not in Bold, they will not be counted.

This round ends at app. 8:00 PM, EST, on Saturday August 22nd(But if I cannot make it, voting ends when I return)

Spider-Man 2
The Incredibles

Previously Voted Off:

Round 14: Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
Round 13: National Treasure
Round 12: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Round 11: The Polar Express
Round 10: The Passion of the Christ
Round 9: Shrek 2
Round 8: I, Robot and Collateral
Round 7: Meet the Fockers and The Bourne Supremacy
Round 6: 50 First Dates and The Day After Tomorrow
Round 5: Ocean's Twelve and The Aviator
Round 4: Million Dollar Baby and Troy
Round 3: The Grudge and The Village
Round 2: DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story and Van Helsing
Round 1: Fahrenheit 9/11 and Shark Tale

Vote for the one you want to win!

WTF?! Incredibles does not belong as the #1 movie of '04!!! If Harry Potter can get it's rightful place in first, then Spider-man 2 must win!
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

This is hard. In some ways, I find Spider-Man 2 to be superior, but in other ways, I find The Incredibles to be superior. I'm going to have to go with

The Incredibles

if only because I think it has a bit more replay value to me. I wouldn't mind at all if Spidey won, though, especially since my two favorite films (Passion and Harry Potter) are already gone.

Now you may not like The Incredibles that much, remember other people tend to disagree with other people. I'm personally happy Harry Potter 3 is out since I thought it was bad! Sorry SofaKing, Disneykid, and awallance.

While Spiderman-2 was a terrific movie, I think The Incredibles is the best movie of 2004 because it blends comedy, action and drama perfectly and entertains kids and adults at the same exact time with no fart jokes! :D

It's ironic that my 2 favorite movies of the year are in the final 2! :D

Well Potter was my pick for #1 movie of the year. Passion was up there.. 2 or 3. I should've paid more attention in the last round.

I love the Incredibles, but I don't think it's worthy of the top spot, given some of its competition. Sad to see so many go, but Spider-Man 2 was my other pick for the top 3. I don't think it will win, but hey, we're on a Disney board, right? ;)

The Incredibles - Much more creative and original than Spiderman II.

I'm happy Spidey won. When I saw it beat the Passion and Harry Potter at the box office last year, I was hoping it'd be the #1 grossing movie of the year, but then Shrek kept on going...and going...and wouldn't leave. Honestly, that thing was in theaters for, like, four months or so. It's nice to know that UD members' opinions don't reflect the general box office.

Spider-Man 2 was my 2nd favorite movie of the year(the 1st obviously being The Incredibles). So I'm glad it won.

However 2 of my favorites didn't even pass 100 million(Hidalgo and Miracle). I also wish the Polar Express would rank higher since I loved that movie.

Overall I'm still satisfied with the results. I'm just glad Shrek 2 and Harry Potter didn't win! The 2 most overrated movies of 2004.

I just can't wait for the next survivor! It'd be fun to do a 2005 summer movie survivor. If you don't do it I'll do it after my superhero one is through.

No you can do a summer movie survivor. Next I am thinking about doing a 2004 worldwide movie survivor, including all 100 million grossers in the world.
