Wedding Date
Hmm, this is supposed to be a "romantic" comedy movie, but I didn't see much romance. Maybe because of certain themes that were in the movie; I wasn't fond of them. I wasn't bored with it, but I wasn't fully entertained with it.
But there were some scenes that could make your heart melt!
And also, I know it was a movie, but some parts were hardly believable.
I'd watch it again, but it doesn't even come close to reaching my top Romantic Films of all time. I liked it, but I didn't like it. Something like that.

The Dukes Of Hazzard
Staring: Sean William Scott, Jessica Simpson, Jhonny Knoxville, Burt Reynolds, and Willie Nellson
Story: Bo And Lue Duke Are Both Cousins and there always in trouble... so they try to get into a race and save there farm. Based On The Hit TV show.
What Worked
- The Cast Is Great.... Simpson Did Good in Her First Movie and Im always a fan of Knoxville, and Sean William Scott
- The Car Chase Scenes were Great
- While This Movie May Not Be As Funny As Wedding Crahers It Still Is Funnie
What Didnt Work
- The Narattor Got Annoying a lil
- Boring At Times
Thoughts
In My Whole Entire Life I have Never Seen The TV show Dukes Of Hazzard... I Really Just Went To The Movie Because It Looks Funnie...Last Week I saw Wedding Crashers And I Thought That Was Alot Funnier... But Dukes Of Hazzard Was Still Very Funny and Entertaining... The Acting Was Very Good I Thought... I have always been a fan of Sean William Scott in American Pie and I Find Johnny Knoxville really funny. IMHO I thought Jessica Simpson Did Very Good For Her Part... She Really Isnt In The Movie That Much... Reynolds and Nelson I also found Very Funny..... My Favorite thing about this movie is probblay the car chases there a lot of fun to watch anf=d good for a comedy movie. The Only Thing Is that the narrator Guy was annoying at times and it was slow sometimes.

Yesterday I watched:
Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace - No doubt I'm one of the few that enjoys this movie a whole lot more than the original trilogy. Two thumbs way up!

And now for the highlight of my day:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Genius is a word that would describe this movie in short.
Jonny Depp is great as usual, Tim Burton delivers a stylized and funny film! And the Ompa songs steal the show! One of the best movies of the year!

Animated Feature Lengths
The first major non-Disney animation film was Gulliver Travels by the Fleischer who the biggest competitor to Disney in the 1930's. (Popeye, Superman & Betty Boop were their most famous characters.) Not a bad movie but nothing special as they really simplified the story from Johnathan Swift's novel. Fleischers made one other feature length and I think UPA did Gay Pureee in early 1960's. Have not seen either film.
You would be better served to watch the Fleischers & UPA shorts to be honest.
I also heard the first animated feature length was made in Argentina in the silent era.

I watched Happy Gilmore - Not really an Adam Sandler fan but this is one of his best moives.
Mr. Larson "Trying to make it on the green from here shooter?"
Shooter "That's not possible."
Mr. Larson "I beg to differ, Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat more than an hour ago."
Shooter "Well moron, good for Happy Gil... oh my god!!!"

Must Love Dogs.
Cute movie, sweet and funny. I hardly recognized Christopher Plummer, for some reason, i still see him as Captain VonTrapp.
Saw a preview for "Rumor has it..." and that looks good.
My friend wanted to see the Wedding Date on dvd and I told her not even to waste her time. I said i'd watch the first 3 minutes with her to hear my favorite song, but other than that, it's a money waster.

Since yesterday I have seen:
While You Were Sleeping - another Target buy, this time for $5.99
The Wedding Date - not the worst movie I've ever seen, but a long way from the best
Sixteen Candles - a CLASSIC!! An audio commentary would be nice on this one

Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

To be honest, I found it rather soap opera-ish. Unlike many people, I grew up on the new trilogy, not the old. For me Jar-Jar Binks is just as good as any other character in the saga. I find him funny (except for that fart joke before the race). I have more to say on the subject, but this ain't the topic for it!Timon/Pumba fan wrote:How can Jar-Jar Binks be better than the line, "No, I am your father?"
