Its confusing.
I'm confused too. I went back and read some of the fans comments on the picture and most of them are posting the same thing: Voldemort got 'Marvolo' from his Grandfather's name (his mother's side). Voldemort's Father never had a middle name 'Marvolo'.

In conclusion, it should say:

Thomas Riddle
1880-1943

Mary (I believe) Riddle
1883-1913

Tom Riddle
1915-1943

This is slightly off-topic, but will Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire still be playing around Christmas time (before and after)?

Ok, am I the only weirdo here that actually wants to comment on how uberly freakin' awesome the new trailer looks?! :P The teaser put me off at first, but count me back on again! This could give Narnia a run for its money, even if it's released three weeks earlier!

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that this movie won't do just as good as Sith. You have to remember, the fanbase for Harry Potter is pretty darn big.

This is one of the few times I EVER agree with Alan.

I mean look at the look at the latest Harry Potter film before GOF

Now look at the latest Star Wars film before Revenge of the Sith

Plus bratty teenagers and flying broomsticks is insignificant next to the power of the force.

So what I'm trying to say is I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Star Wars has been out much longer than Harry Potter has. Star Wars has a bigger fanbase than Harry Potter. And not to mention this was the last star wars movie ever, it was a pretty big deal.

SPOILER: Some people might find that this following paragraph is spoiler-y so I'll put this notice here, even though everything I said can be found out in the trailer.

What is so funny about that? JK Rowling has said on numerous ocasions that the Harry Potter series wasn't intended for kids. She wrote them for Young Adults and even for the Adults. That would make sense. Now that the books are getting darker, the movies are getting higher ratings. What do you expect when someone dies! Plus, a very scary scene at the QWC and with a dragon, and almost dying underwater, and tackling every beast hes ever seen in a maze! Plus the Ultimate Confrontation! What could be scarier! i am proud of WB allowing HP4 to be PG-13! Go WB!

P.S. I do believe that HP4 can do better than Star Wars did. You are underestimating how much more popular the books got after Book 3. Now we even got a larger fan base than we did with HP1-3.

Plus, as each new book comes out, not only Harry and his friends, but his readers get older. Not many of us read Ramona into middle and high school. Why? Because the character never matured, we moved on, she didn't. But when you take a realistic approach to writing novels, in such that your characters actually age, it opens a whole new world. In the book, if the characters never aged, could they really be expected to do all those adventures in one year? Because they age, it allows the readers to stay interested. I see plenty of adults, ages 20-50 reading Harry Potter. HP's mythos are nearly up there with LOTR and Narnia. For all the negative hype HP has gotten, it hasn't stopped, its only gotten bigger. And it will likely be a modern day classic and fairytale. Already being translated into so many languages, its sticking around for a long time too.

Props to Rowling! :thumb:

I bet you a million dollars there are more Star Wars fans than Harry Potter fans. Plus the HP movies have never seemed to get quite as popular as Star Wars. I mean especially that last one. There were quite a few Harry Potter fans disappointed with that movie, especially me, and the box office records were not as great as COS and SS.

both good points. And I do believe Star Wars has a larger fanbase, but I still think that HP4 is going to blast you away. I admit HP3 was disappointing for alot of fans, but HP4 will trully bring you back. It is going to be amazing, even if it doesn't beat Star Wars, but I do believe that it has a chance to pass up the previous HP movies.
