WOW!!! The Peter Pan fairy looks kind of creepy.... :shifty:

I really don't think it will flop it looks pretty good and little girls will want their parents to buy it. Remember it's just a direct to DVD movie.

Well okay the expressions a picture is worth a 1000 words really does come to mind after seeing this picture. I mean it looks intreasting and yet at the same time I cant help feeling the like Disney sold one of its most popular characters that repersented the company for son long in such a cheap way. By putting her in a movie and now giving her a voice. I dont know its just weird :( . Although I see a barbie market here for Disney with all the faires so w/e.

Disney Fairies Future

Post by Disney Duster »

Well, I still really wish it was the the Blue Fairy, the Fairy Godmother, and Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather as teenagers but since all this Disney Fairies stuff is based on a book and done in Neverland, I guess I can't have that. The video (GREAT FIND KRAM NEBUER! Thank you!) actually makes me feel better about this whole thing. It doesn't seem that horrible. We'll have to wait and see.

Lol, maybe they'll guest star and visit the little pixies and say they're (Blue Fairy, Fairy Godmother, etc) the real fairies. NP for the video. I just wanted to point out to everyone that it's there. Now I just hope someone speaks Japanese (Yuki or Sekaino Jasmine, where are you???) and can tell us what the video is saying.

Disney has an official site for the Disney Fairies line now. We now know 4 of the fairies names and the other characters. "Meet the Fairies" allows us to read about the personalities of 4 of the fairies, who each are blessed with a special talent. My jaw dropped in disbelief (not "Wow!" :o but, "You've got to be kidding me!" ) when I read what Tinker Bell's talent was. But it makes so much sense when you really think about it.

Disney Faires Web Site

Post by Disney Duster »

Hey, Kram Nebuer thanks for yet ANOTHER great find! You're awesome! But we really need to merge this with that other thread about the web site. And LOL about how the Blue Fairy and the others show up and say they're the real fairies. I would totally laugh if they had something where they beat up the "fake" fairies.

As for the site, it's kind of cool how it has a nicely animated intro, but they forgot that Tinker Bell's pixie dust is gold, not white. But what ever... I was worried about this, but as long as Tinker Bell can only talk with words to other fairies, and then "chimes" to Peter Pan, I'll be fine. And now that I think about it, it really does make sense that Tinker Bell fixes things because she's named Tinker Bell, and tinkering has to do with fixing and building things, right? Remember Tinker Toys?

From Dictionary.com, I got this:

tin·ker    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (tngkr)
n.

1. A traveling mender of metal household utensils.
2. Chiefly British. A member of any of various traditionally itinerant groups of people living especially in Scotland and Ireland; a traveler.
3. One who enjoys experimenting with and repairing machine parts.
4. A clumsy repairer or worker; a meddler.

So it all makes sense.
