This is strange. I am really starting to wonder about Disney. Since the Lion king all October Platinums have been released with a "Special Edition" The Lion King got Sleeping beauty, and Aladdin got Mulan. Now this year Disney puts two movies TENG and Tarzan with Cinderella. They have no clue what they are doing. Can they stick with anything? Now these two movies have been pushed back a week and come out after Cinderella. Disney's DVD marketing strategy makes no sense.

They are probally going to push back TENG even more until it gets closer to the release of Kronks New Groove.

Well if they do move Tarzan:SE and TENG:SE back to October 25 it will be good news since Batman Begins and Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997 are coming out the same day on October 18.
But isn't Herbie: Fully Loaded coming out on October 25?

Maybe disney plans on bringing in the big bucks that week. It weould not be the first time. for them. I am okay with the movies getting pushed back so long as they are still release not like Lilo and Sitch which I have been wating for F O R E V E R NOW.

And as for Disney not knowing what they are doing. I think they do by opushing the movies back even further is like preparing for the X-mas season. When people start to brainstorm thier X-mas list and pick up gifts. hmmmm makes you wonder who is the boss sorta like what came first the chicken or the eeg situation  (sorry best example I could think of)

I'll tell you this...if all Disney movies are set for what they are in Oct. Disney is gonna have/own that month in DVD sales. It will be probably their highest month ever in DVD sales, because of Cinderella alone (1st time on DVD)!!! 8)

i'm wondering if this is all a test run to see how fast disney can release it's titles and still have people buy them. i mean doesn't it seem that disney is releasing more titles in the next few months than they have through the past year! i bet if numbers are good, we can expect to see many more animated classics coming out a lot sooner and faster than we've all imagined.

Or..... maybe they are releasing all these DVD's in order to improve their cash flow..... after all the expense of the 50th anniversary celebrations??

Disneyland has nothing to do with BVHV!!! I mean it does, and doesn't. But it has nothing to do with what you said. I think though what singerguy04 is right. I mean if these sales do well, maybe the "the vault" will change a little. I think keeping movies in "the vault" will have from 10 years to like 2-3 years!!! I also think the PE might even come sooner. Instrad of have two released in one year have at least 4-5 PEs in one year. I think DISNEY, and BVHV wants to concentrate on BLUE-RAY tech.

Tarzan has been added to the Coming Soon list on the Disney DVD & Video site and it states that it is coming out October 18. So is the Disney site correct or is Amazon?

I would believe the Disney DVD site is more correct.
