FYI, the last-ever episode of Even Stevens airs this Monday.

Like Lizzie McGuire, the show ended production in spring 2002, after it reached Disney's standard 65-episode limit.

i'm sorry but 100k per episode....what did she think she was going to do with all that money? disney made a wise move. her fifteen minutes of fame is up, and disney can rake in all the franchise profits...... ha ha ha ha ha ha. that girl must be out of her mind! i think they should release complete seasons of all their shows, including but not limited to (Home Improvement, Growing Pains, Golden Girls, Ducktales, and Good Morning Miss Bliss)

I know this topic is a couple of months old, but I had to say this.

If you have not already please go to the TV Shows On DVD website and vote for Even Stevens! Boy Meets World is already in talks to come out SO IT WORKS! Vote Now! You can vote for any show you like, all you have to do is register at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com. Do not, however create false e-mail addresses or otherwise the show gets booted off the site. This should not take long if you can just spread the word. Thanks for the help!

Last time I checked it was around 90th place.

I share your enthusiasm, CJ68CP45RD, but I'll believe it 'works' when Boy Meets World is released to DVD. Seriously, Boy Meets World is up to like #18th there, but what does that mean? That Boy Meets World fans are most knowledgeable about the site. Which means that BMW fans are Internet-savvy.

And Even Stevens is Top 100, so their fanbase is quickly learning. But all it takes to put something in the top 100 is a couple of hundred votes, and all these shows are dealing with several thousand people purchasing. I get the feeling that Amazon's "sign up to be notified" feature holds more weight, since more people are likely to access it.

What sucks about that is Amazon doesn't have pages for Boy Meets World, Home Improvement, or Even Stevens. (But they do have one for Lizzie.)

Anyhow, TVShowsonDVD has us thinking it has a lot more power than it does. But hey, any site that can gain the kind of attention it has simply by counting votes from people who are interested in buying TV shows on DVD, does have something going for it.

What it boils down to is - I wish Disney had the savvy for releasing its TV shows to DVD that other studios - Fox, Sony, Warner, heck ANY other studio - possess.

It stinks that a number of my favorites are owned by the studio that's put out as little TV-on-DVD product as any studio. But at least other shows I like are getting released...and after all, none of this happened for VHS. TV Shows on DVD is such a fabulous idea, and when executed right, it's sheer brilliance!

Anyway, CJ68CP45RD, I hope you'll stick around for more than just this one post. :)

^^^

Well, I don't know how much input the site had on the idea of releasing BMW on DVD, but I do know that there are strong rumours that the series coming out... SO maybe the site has more influence than we think!

Well, maybe I'm mistaken, but the only "strong rumors" I've seen is a notice from the site that it is being considered for DVD. Which can be said for just about any network TV series.

Oh, how I'd love to have the first season on DVD by year's end. Home Improvement too.

Gag.... Hillary Duff can go away, we don't want her anyway!

Instead of wasting time on the Lizzie DVDs, BVHE should release all of the Even Stevens episodes on DVD along with the movie!

To quote from the Simpsons:

"Duff, Duff, Can't get enough of that wonderful stuff" [*]

They could try a spin-off starring Miranda, but I know it wouldn't work-they need Hilary. And yes, as awesome as the movie was, it just wasn't the same without Miranda.

I was really looking forward to the "Lizzie McGuire in High School" series, and it's too bad that's not happening.
But they should still do a "Second Lizzie McGuire Movie". It would take place at Christmas (three months after Lizzie and Gordo have started high school-the Christmas after they've gone to Rome) and Lizzie and Gordo go to visit Miranda at her new home in Mexico City. There, the three of them must accept the fact that Miranda has a new home and new friends, and a new life.

Why the standard 65 episode limit? If the show is working, why end it just like that? DIsney can't figure out they have a good thing?

It doesn't look like we'll see Hillary in any more Disney movies... she'll probably be in Agent Cody Bank 2 though.
