I can't believe I forgot to ask this. Luke do you know if there's any truth to this?

My mind has just been reeling the last two days just thinking all the cool stuff they could put on the DVD. I even had a dream last night walking into a store seeing copies of DuckTales, Chip N Dale, Darkwing Duck TaleSpin, Raw Toonage, Aladdin & Hercules on the shelf.

I don't have any information to suggest that there is, though it sounds conceivable enough and the poster seems to have gotten good information in the past.

Ducktales

Post by disneyboy »

What other Disney show could spoof Alexis Carrington AND J.R. Ewing and hope kids get it!? And that whole sun coin/fruit story line was the PINNACLE of DuckTales.

Those were actually two separate stories. The first were the first five episodes that contained a continued story about finding the valley of the golden sun. The second was another multi-ep story that occurred later in the first season where scrooge had to weigh his fortune to win the glow in the dark fruit.

And BTW i'd love a dvd release of this show and the movie too but i'm sure the movie won't come out until the first release of the tv show. Which may be the only reason why it hasn't been released in R1 yet.

I wouldnt mind seeing the original disney afternoon.

Ducktales, Chip N'Dale, Gummi Bears, Talespin, maybe even Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck.

Everything after that never did it for me.

Well I'm not sure about those spoofs but for me the excellent stories was the highlight of the show. It was basically "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for kids. The jokes made both adults and kids laugh at the same time which is very hard to do today. Plus there was an excellent cast! Name one other show that had Alan Young, June Fooray, Hal Smith, Russi Taylor and Tony Anselmo all on the same show! These actors brought their characters to life along with many others voice actors. Not to mention the impressive animation and the cool 007 inspired score. Overall DuckTales was a brilliant cartoon better than all of the other DA shows IMO. Hopefully it can come to DVD SOON!

I personally loved Recess and Buzz Lightear of Star Command! Recess was a hilarious spoof on kid's lives. Buzz Lightear is probably the most underrated cartoon of all time. It was Star Trek for kids. Plus a hilarious cast. But aside from those shows I agree nothing came to be as good as the DA shows.
