Reba 5th Season DVD Coming in '09

Post by JiminyCrick91 »

I was watching Reba 1st Season DVD and wondered when new shows will start up again. But now I am so confused because of this http://www.tv.com/reba/show/1409/news.html . I don’t know if the 5th season is coming in the afternoon, Primetime, or not at all. What’s happening to Reba?

The WB website has it down for their fall schedule as a returning series so I'm not sure what this means. This is one of my favorite shows so I hope it stays on in the evenings.

You're so lucky to have the WB-I want it soley (solely?) to see the new episodes of Reba. The only place I can watch it is on CMT, where they air it 3-4 nights a week, 2 back-to-back episodes, but it no order whatsoever. Once, the same episode was on 3 times in a matter of three days (at the same time every night).

Yeha, I was really happy about this too! The cover art was posted today too. I think it's my favorite cover since Season One!

I really hope Fox does not screw us over and not put season six to DVD. Also I'd love some extras on THAT set most (if it happens). Just two audio commentaries with Reba & Melissa Peterman to catch up, share stories, talk about the end ect. I doubt it will happen but I can hope.

I can't say I'm in love with the cover art but hey, at least the DVD is getting released. I really hope Fox decides to put the set in a box like seasons 1 - 4. I hate when season sets on DVD have inconsistency in box types, like Grounded For Life, which seasons 1 - 4 had boxes and season 5 was in a standard DVD case. At least make it come with a slipcover so it LOOKS like a box on a shelf!!

Over the past year, I've really become something of a fan of Reba's show. I mean, for instance- it's clearly better than a whole host of King of Queen's, Yes Dear's, Still Standing's, and According to Jim's. In a way, Melissa Peterman or Steve Howie are the same stereotype on all those dumb-oafish-annoying husband shows. But funnier. And the show isn't void of character or so loaded with sarcasm that the whole thing turns bland. It's a fairly decent ensemble show that sometimes, almost rivals the best of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. Which was another show that was a great alternative in the "dumb husband" sitcom sub-genre.
