I've been waiting all year to make this list :)

I even made a list of the films I had watched this year so I wouldn't forget any.

And now that it is NYE, I won't be watching any new ones this year so here goes:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: Michel Gondy is a music video god, and it is great to see he can bring that innovation to the big screen. Terrific performances all around. Smart, funny and moving.

Dawn of the Dead: A very close "second" (although this isn't a strictly ordered list). As a huge fan of the original, I fear the worst, but instead got one of the best zombie/action films ever made. It was a zombie movie that my girlfriend liked, and that is a huge compliment!

Spider-man 2 : As close to a perfect comic book film that we are going to see for a long time, it got almost everything right. Are you paying attention DC/Warner?!?!

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy: I highly anticipated this, and wasn't let down for a second. If I wasn't outright lauging, I was chuckling throughout most of this. Top-notch comedy. I hope I can write like this one day.

Napoleon Dynamite: Another consistently funny film. Not much happens, but I was in tears of laughter for most of the piece.

The Incredibles: Not my favourite Pixar film to date (I think that honour goes to Monsters Inc), but definitely a fun ride. Love all the comic references, especially the Fantasic Four/Moleman ones. Only complaint is that it goes too long.

Garden State: This one surprised me too. There weren't enough films like that this year. Another film where not much happens, but incredibly well-made and acted.

Shaun of the Dead : I had made up my mind to like this before I saw it, and I was a little disappointed (nothing lives up to the hype). However, as with all Simon Pegg projects, there are many layers of references and homages to keep an eye out for. In the end, very hard NOT to like.

Dodgeball : I suspected this would be funny, but it was terrific. It even had a pirate AND David Hasselhoff! Who could ask for anything more?

Fahrenheit 9/11 : Speaking of asking for anything Moore, this film may not have achieved its aim (the Dubya regained office), but it is still a powerful documentary on the recent invasion of Iraq and should be applauded for its penetration into areas of the movie going public that would not normally hear about these facts.

There were other highlights (Blade: Trinity, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Team America, A Very Long Engagement), but if I had a top 10, that'd be it.

#1 Movie of the year (yeah, it came out on the 25th)...

The Life Aquatic!!

You have to respect the insane amount of detail that went into this picture. And the scene where the boat is shown in cutaway is probably the coolest thing I've seen this year not in a Tarantino flick.

This was a really dark film. Covered in bright colors and glib jokes.

Oh, when Jeff Goldbloom hit the 3 legged dog....I about lost it, that was hilarious.

Also, the accoustic Portugese Bowie covers were extremely dope.

Brilliant film.

Now I need to find a pair of those Adidas Zissou kicks!!!

1. The Incredibles: Everything in this movie was perfect! The timing, the animation the story, the character-development. I loved it! 10/10

2. Spider-Man 2: A great movie. Not sure if it tops the first, but the acting and special effects were subperb. If it wasn't for a few scenes that didn't belong, it would've gotten a 10! 9/10

3. Hidalgo: An underrated gem! It was probably the best western ever made! :D 9/10

4. Miracle: Another underrated gem! Kurt Russel is a terrific actor! 9/10

5. The Polar Express: A truely great Christmas movie. It definatly brings life to the book like never before! 8/10

6. National Treasure: While the film is loaded with flaws, the film is just a good time! I enjoyed it! 8/10

7. Finding Neverland: Johnny Deep is truely a brilliant actor. Definatly Oscar-worthy! 8/10

8. The Terminal: As much as I hate Dreamworks, I really liked this film. Sure Catherine Zeta-Jones' performance is mixed, but I still really liked the acting. 8/10

9. Series of Unfortunate Event: Carrey was averege, but the rest of the film surprisingly works. The kids were great! 7/10

10 Meet the Fockers: Pretty good. Despite the huge amount of sexual jokes, I still had a good time. 7/10

11. King Arthur: Just okay. Some cool battle scenes, nothing much else to see. 6/10

12. 50 First Dates: Errr, One of Sandler's best films! And that isn't saying much at all! 5/10

13. The Aviator: Overrated! Leonardo was not casted well, and the film was a terrible adaptation of Howard Hughes life! 4/10

14. Van Hellsing: GREAT special effects. TERRIBLE everything else. 3/10

15. I, Robot: Boring! Cool special effects, the rest of it was a big dull dud! 3/10

16. Secret Window: Johnny Depp was great, nothing else to say about this poor horror film! 2/10

17. Shrek 2: Garbage! Just paste a bunch of lame pop-refrences and get big celeberties to work with an unoriginal story you get Shrek 2! 1/10

18. Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban: Sorry I hated it! Terrible set-designs and special effects. Plus not to mention a terrible adaptation of a great book. The twists just went way to fast and the performances were all very weak. Read the book instead. 0/10

19. Super Size Me: Man eats at McDonalds for 30 days, man gets fat. Rocket Sciene isn't it! 0/10

20. Sharktale: Do I even have to explain why? 0/10

Sorry for the huge bump by the way!

And you obviously can't separate a film from its source material to the point where you fail to find anything positive about the said film. Come on, a zero? You can't at least give the thing a two or a three? Is it really in your worst movies of all time list? I'd dare say YOU haven't seen very many movies...

I know your a huge Potter fan DK, and yes there are much worse film than HP:TPOA! However when I first saw it I would rate it about a 5. But I decided to watch it again not to long ago but I decided to do it with an open mind, but I just disliked it more than the first time. I guess it was because it was so overrated. I personally don't see why people thought it was the best one. I liked the other two movies just fine, but I just really disliked this one. While it probably wouldn't get in my top 10 worst film list, I have no regrets rating it 0/10. Sorry.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Secret Window and Meet the Fockers!
