Happiest Celebration on Earth dvd's

Post by edmond »

Hi
I am new to the forum.
I am based in the UK.
i am a big Disney fan, i have been lucky enough to go to DisneyLand Paris twice & Florida once.
i have a large collection of disney dvd's however i have noticed a set of disney dvd's which i would like to obtain, and i was wondering how i could.

The set is called Happiest Celebration on Earth
Released February 2005 these DVD's cover Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Studios.

I will not be going to Disney for a few years now after the birth of my baby girl, so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum! It's nice to see more of the British invasion on this board; if you see members called 2099net, Ichabod, *Andy* and Enchantress, they're also some of our regular resident Brits. :P

Anyway, I personally know little of this DVD, but if you're interested in finding it, you could take two options; either visit our Trade forum and make a request of help there, or alternatively, go and search on E-Bay for it! I must add that you may need a multi-region player to play these DVDs, so if you haven't, you may want to find a code online or something along the lines of that...

And have a lovely day! :D

i have seen the 4 disc set on ebay for £48.00 + shipping.
the same seller also offers the 4 disc set + the 50th celebration dvd for about £80.00 + shipping.

I would not be without my multiregion dvd player.

I don't know the pounds to dollar ratio, but each DVD is $20, so to buy all 4 would have been $80. The box set was also $80 and came with the extra disc, but was hard to comeby. That's what I picked up. I only came across it twice during my 10 day stay in Disney World.

If that is one of your main reasons for wanting them, than the DVD is definitely worth it. I have the Magic Kingdom DVD and I thought it was okay, but I was expecting a DVD like the DIsneyland USA Treasure. This surely is not like that, but more like a very nice DVD that tours the parks with appearances by some of the characters. I think you'll like them. The bonuses are not as in depth as I wanted, but they're still good.

You could try the laughplace.com store, but I don't know if they will take British pounds. Here is the link. You could also buy them individually.

It is quite pricey, but I think the US price includes Shipping and Handling.

Kram, as long as one has an international credit or debit card like Master Card and Visa, one can buy anything in any currency. Just thought that I'd let you know. :)

And in case you're wondering, Edmond, that converts to just under £80.

Yesterday I called Disney to order the Happiest Celebration on Earth Magic Kingdom and Epcot dvd's. The cast member told me that these dvd's have been discontinued so if you want them, you need to order them while you still can.

Well, I don't think anyone has anything to worry about. While the Happiest Celebration on Earth DVDs will be discontinued due to the Year of A Million Dreams starting, Disney will just re-release the discs out now in new packaging. The Happiest Celebration on Earth DVDs relate to the celebration in packaging and menus only. The film content themselves were created and released under the "Where Magic Lives" series back in 2004. I suspect the new DVDs coming out will be the same programs with new menus, disc art, and cover art reflecting the Year of A Million Dreams theme. I'll be very surprised if Disney ends up releasing completely new theme park DVDs.
