I like the covers and I'll buy them. Sure some material is on the Treasures sets but I have wanted Disney to release Christmas sets like this for a while. :)

So there's still no french track for Christmas Carol and Pluto's Christmas Tree? I own the "english track only" (lol) Snowed In At The House Of Mouse, but only because I wanted these two shorts on DVD. They were both released on VHS in french.. So why isn't there any french track? Hmm.. I'll buy anyways, but...

Wait a tic, those covers seem to be mixed up. Scrooge should be on Holiday Celebration with Mickey and Pals, you know the one his short is on? Having Daisy there too is a big bonus!

Now we have Scrooge on a DVD cover, can we have his TV series on DVD... Pretty Please?

ooh, that cover art is really nice...it'll be tough not to buy them!

I do wish they had more than just those few shorts on them (I have 4.5 Mickey's Christmas Carols on various compilations and DVD's), but this'll have to do. Maybe the other shorts are being held back for next Christmas' wave (if the collection lasts that long).

Hmmmm... I wonder if it will be necessary to buy "Holiday Celebration with Mickey and Pals" in order to obtain the two Chip 'n' Dale shorts - "Toy Tinkers" and "Corn Chips", or if these will be on the second installment of a Chip 'n' Dale Cartoon Classics Favorites ?

I am thinking they wont be as there are still plenty remaining to release on their second DVD....

Hopefully they will release The Small One uncensored, but it will probably be censored like the overseas releases.

Hopefully Disney will also put the word Christmas in the title of the DVDs instead of the politically correct word Holiday.

Why would "The Small One" be censored? Too much sex and violence?

When the boy tries to find a new home for the donkey, he goes to the streets and meets up with some dishonest bankers who sing a song. There is a line in the song that originally went: "when we go to make a sale, we simply cheat a little if we must". It now says: "we try a little harder if we must". So these guys have been changed from crooks, to hard workers. The uncensored version is on this Japanese laserdisc:

Will Mickey's Christmas Carol be Widescreen?? Or will it be fullscreen like on Mickey's Snowed In At The House Of Mouse? And will it feature any credits or will it be like in the Sing-Along, with an introduction to each short? I'm curious huh?

From Classic Cartoon Favorites of the past, I'd suspect we'll get the whole cartoon (including credits) but probably in full screen only. The line has been promoted to the 'common man', who won't watch black and white shorts and doesn't care about comprehensiveness. But then, there hasn't been a widescreen short cropped down yet. This and "The Small One" will be a litmus test for the series. It'd be clearly worse if "Small One" isn't widescreen, but I'm not holding much hope. Then again, if they simply transfer "Mickey's Christmas Carol" from the Treasures DVD, it could be 16x9 and all. We'll have to see what happens with "The Prince and the Pauper" on the Timeless Tales DVD next month, perhaps that will tell us what to expect.
