Hello,
I'm about to write a children's book about a little girl named 'Chandal' who is very mischivious and her playing and fooling around too much will send her to a special school.
Chandalito makes me think of a food item on a mexican resturant's menu, LOL...Silly me!
Anyway, I like Chandal better!
Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.
Well if your talking about the girl's name and trying to give it the ending meaning little, then you would have to change it to Chandalita, because Chandalito is masculan either Chandal or Chandalita work for me.
I wanted to let you know, if you live in Spain, you might have heard of the stories of 'Celia' by Elena Fortun, well 'Chandalito' is based on those books, specially the video series.
Also I was thinking of giving my book the title of 'Chandalito, dressed in yellow" since the girl's most worn cloth is a yellow dress jus like alice's only in Yellow.
Well the girl is called 'Chandal' by the people in the book, 'Chandalito' would be a special theme, which would be Chandal calling her doll (that looks just like her) "My sweet little 'Chandalito'", the only thing she's got to remaind her of her far-away living family.
The girl would be 'Chandal' while the book's title would be 'Chandalito' after the sweet name giving to the doll.

Yes, but even so she would still call her doll Chandalita if it suppose to be a girl doll.
in all honesty, luke ruined chandalito for me with judge ito joke! for some reason i really am liking chandalita better... i dunno.. chandalito just doesn't sound right, and since the story's main character is a little girl, perhaps the name of the book should be feminine..
