forgotten Mickey Movie?
i've been wondering about this for over a year now and it just occured to me yesturday that maybe i should ask all of you for help, lol. Was there a Mickey movie a while back that had to do something with Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde?(i'm not sure if this was the exacct story line, but i think that's what i way) bc i seem to have a memory of a movie with mickey in it that seemed kinda dark and scary even. but now there seems to be no trace of it, except last year i was in a parade and the float ahead of mine was made up of mostly movie posters and i there was a poster for that movie!
i'm just confused bc i've never seen it at a store or at a video rental place and i never hear anyone talk about it. was it sooooo bad that ppl choose to forget it's existance? or maybe the heat was getting to me and i'm making the whole thing up! lol

Don't you mean Runaway Brain? It was the last/ latest mickey short the Disneystudio did just a couple of years ago. It is on the Disney Treasures Mickey DVD.
Here are some pics to refresh your memory:

This cartoon was attached to 2 movies. It's original release was in 1995 with "A Kid in King Arthur's Court" and then it was re-issued in 1997 with "George of the Jungle".Spongebob Squarepants wrote:I remember that being attached to a movie at the theater like Disney use to do with some of their movies!
Best... Mickey cartoon... ever!
Micheal Eisner was counting his money and he got DIZZNEY!

That's my favourite kind of Mickey. I like Mickey as a sweet bumbling mouse who has a heart of gold but can't get things 100% together (like how he was protrayed in Runaway Brain)drnilescrane wrote:Runaway Brain - One of the best Mickey Cartoons.
Why? Because Mickey wasn't perfect. He made mistakes. He seemed a bit more natural that his perfect alter-ego (which is all we have seen lately in HOM and Musketeers)
I thought it was a great short and I'm surprised why we didn't see more like that around that time.

"Runaway Brain" is quite a good little piece. But I've never been quite comfortable with seeing Mickey (or what appears to be him) so totally out of character. According to a "chart" on the wall in the "doctor's" office Mickey appears to have not just his head, but his ears filled with brain. I tend to find that more weird than fun. I'm not saying that I totally dislike it. But if I were to pick the best MM title, this would not be it.
