VALIANT - 1st non-Pixar CG film from Disney...
Like they'd even know Chicken Little (what the kid means) is the first CGI movie!Alice wrote:HA! Like they'd even care........Jens wrote:Even more confusion for the average US audience! I see them standing at the ticket office already:
Kid: Hey mom, let's go see that new Disney movie!
Mom: No son, it's a Dreamworks movie as it's made by the producers of Shrek & Shrek 2.
Kid: But no mom, it says right there... "Walt Disney Pictures Presents"!
Mom: Huh? And I was thinking that that bird movie was only being released in november?
Kid: No mom, this is that one. It's the first CGI movie from Disney.
Mom: Then why does it say "Vanguard Films"? And wasn't the first CGI movie from Disney something with Dinosaurs?
Kid: I'm confused.
Mom: Me too, let's go see some other movie.

This won't be good for Vanguard fans in the least. How can they make a name for themselves when people will get them confused with Disney or Dreamworks....

This is exactly what's gonna happen with "The Wild" next year.

So, this looks uh... kind of interesting. I doubt it'll garner much moolah from the masses, but it's an interesting premise, nonetheless. I'll just say that, for as long as I've known about it, it hasn't really ever piqued my interest. I'll probably see it regardless, but I'm just not that "wowed" by the film on a whole.

Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

Unfortunately the trailer makes this film look a lot better than it is!
It seemed like such an interesting premise didn't it! World War II carrier pigeon (slightly reminiscent of a Tweety ad Sylvester Cartoon somehow
) But this is one of the most blah films ever IMO. It's not bad, just predictable and pretty much uneventful! The animation of the characters is brilliant, the feathers are really detailed, unfortunately I found the backgrounds to be very plain and they looked empty. This film flopped into the top 10 here in Britain, and after a few weeks every trace of it's existance was gone. I think that a similar performance can be expcted over the pond too. Probably even worse as I think the British cast will put a lot of Americans off.

Valiant Commercials
I've noticed that Disney is now airing Valiant commercials on TV..it looks like its going to be a good movie! It also mentions that its from the producers of Shrek and Shrek 2!

I have been waiting for this movie since the start of the year. I was disappointed when it was kicked back, but I am still looking forward to it!

It has been a while since we have heard anything but there is now and extended sequence from the movie up at the Disney Motion Showcase. I was always a little unsure if I would go see this or not but after watching this clip, I think I just might!

I'm sure it will do well, and they are certainly playing up that it is from the "Producers of Shrek", but I am not at all interested in it! And I want to know why this is comming out before Chicken Little!!!!!?!!!!
What the hell is wrong with Disney?! Why can't they release anything on time!? For real man! It's becoming a freakin joke, and not a funny one at that, they keep making "oficial announcements about movies being released to theatres and on dvd and then delaying them to unknown future dates, I am really sick of it! They are a multi-billion dollar company, and one that many other companies models after. People all over the world look to them to be reliable. They are suppose to be a certainty in an uncertain world, and instead they're nothing but a big joke. A bunch of Dumb men and woman running around blindfolded, shouting out things w/o any follow through... kinda like the American Goverment...
sigh... rant over. I'm suddenly bumed, time to go back into remission...
