Actually, it was supposed to come out in September. Various sources were pointing to it, but it seems the SE has been post poned for the third time thanks to the Tarzan and Emperor's New Groove SE's. I think we'll see Lilo in early 2006 to help promote the Leroy and Stitch DTV that's supposed to wrap up the animated series.

Unfortunately, no. There's been no news on it yet, so the earliest it can be released is 2006. Apparently, they had to put that off to make the "spectacular" Tarzan and TENG DVDs that have no bonus features.Disneybell wrote:the special edition of lilo and stitch comes out in september really? wow
EDIT: Disneykid was a minute quicker on the draw! Agh!

.....Don't worry, it will someday, but it keeps getting pushed back. We're expecting (and hoping for) it in early 2006.Spongebob Squarepants wrote:I was wondering if the special edition was still coming out...

Anyways, I thought Stitch the movie was okay. It was good considering it introduced his cousins! Of course, I enjoyed Lilo & Stitch and I think, that if you LIKE Stitch, then you'll like Stitch the Movie.

Well, I personally thought it was the best animated feature Disney has released in years, but that's just me. (Sorry, but I just can't stand The Lion King for some reason. Yes, it's sacrilege, I know.)
I don't think the powers that be at Disney really knew what to do with this movie. It's rather subversive by Disney standards, and there seemed to be less of a marketing push behind it compared to other features.
I wouldn't bother with "Stitch! The Movie" or the TV series. They sort of negate several things that were established by the movie. Both have some fun moments, but overall they are so sub-par compared to the movie.
